"Heh heh, Tang, why are you rushing out so anxiously? Are you eager to see your future son-in-law?" A hearty, vigorous voice rang out from inside the house. Then, an imposing old man in white, with a tall frame, lion-like brows, piercing eyes, and a long snowy beard, strode out. His silver hair and commanding aura made him look truly formidable.

"Oh Master Winston Yuan, even at your age, you still love teasing the younger generation! I, Ethan Tang, don't mind, but the kids are a bit shy!" Ethan Tang laughed as he spoke to the old man.

"Oh—Master Yuan, you always love joking with us youngsters! I—I’ll go to the room to call Xiaoyu, you two chat first!" Fiona Tang’s pretty face flushed as she quickly found an excuse to slip away, leaving Shawn Young nervously facing two imposing men alone.

"Heh heh—this must be the young man with the ancient Heavenly Gang Supreme Qi, right?" The silver-haired old man smiled as he addressed Shawn Young.

"Yes, yes—junior Shawn Young, greets the elder!" Shawn felt the overwhelming aura radiating from Master Winston Yuan. This was no ordinary presence; it was the kind of force built up from years of authority. Standing before him, Shawn actually felt more pressure than he did next to General Ethan Tang.

"Heh heh, my surname is Yuan, given name Winston. Just a wandering martial artist! No need to be so formal, young Shawn!" Master Winston Yuan laughed warmly, retracting his overwhelming aura. Shawn instantly felt the pressure evaporate and breathed a sigh of relief.

But before Shawn could fully relax, Master Winston Yuan suddenly focused his energy, his gaze like lightning piercing straight into Shawn’s eyes. Shawn felt as if Yuan’s eyes had a powerful penetrating force, instantly seeing through him—right down to his very soul!

Soon, Master Winston Yuan stroked his long beard, smiled, and nodded. Then he said to Shawn, "Young man, I see your true energy is abundant, and your internal cultivation is quite impressive. But your stance is unstable, and your bones haven’t reached the explosive stage. Have you not trained much in external martial arts?"

Shawn was amazed at how skilled Master Winston Yuan was—he could spot Shawn’s lack of external martial arts training with just a glance. Embarrassed, Shawn quickly replied, “Yes, that’s right. I’ve never trained in true external martial arts, so I’m definitely lacking in that area.” (Note: Kung fu is divided into ‘internal’ and ‘external’ cultivation; true masters train both.)

Master Winston Yuan nodded, then suddenly said, "But when I used my 'Intent Observation Technique' just now, I sensed a strange force inside you. I’ve seen a lot in my years, but I’ve never come across anyone with this kind of energy. How odd! Mind if you stretch out your hands and let me check your meridians?"

Shawn was taken aback and quickly thought it over—he couldn’t really explain the strange power inside him. Having an expert like Master Winston Yuan check it out sounded like a great idea. So he nodded and said, "Of course—now that you mention it, I’m curious myself!"

Shawn spread his hands and stood straight. Master Winston Yuan approached, his hands moving like lightning as he pressed Shawn’s Laogong acupoints, then squeezed his shoulders and waist. Finally, his right hand paused at Shawn’s dantian, then flipped his palm and sent a surge of blazing true energy into Shawn’s core. Shawn’s spiritual sea instantly sensed a powerful force flooding his meridians, making his whole body tremble.

Master Winston Yuan suddenly exclaimed, "Oh!" and withdrew his energy. Shawn returned to normal as the powerful force vanished. Yuan stared in amazement and said, "Young man, at your age, your Eight Extraordinary Meridians are already open! Even your Ren and Du meridians are nearly unlocked, though the power inside remains untapped. I’ve never seen anything like this—truly remarkable!"

General Ethan Tang couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Master Yuan, all that talk about Eight Extraordinary Meridians and Ren and Du meridians—sounds like something out of a novel! Do those mystical meridians really exist in the human body?"

Master Winston Yuan’s expression turned serious as he nodded. "Those meridians absolutely exist, but in most people, they’re dormant and hidden. Ordinary folks go their whole lives without using them. But we cultivators use special training to stimulate and open these meridians. Internal martial artists especially focus on them, because human potential is stored in the Eight Extraordinary and Ren and Du meridians. The strongest power lies in the spiritual sea. The so-called ‘unity of mind and spirit’ is only achieved through both internal and external cultivation!"

Ethan Tang, still half-confused, asked, "So, Master Yuan, you’re saying Shawn’s Eight Extraordinary and Ren and Du meridians are already open?"

Master Winston Yuan nodded. "Exactly. Shawn’s situation is truly unique—I’ve never seen anything like it. Think of it this way: right now, he’s like a top-of-the-line engine, just waiting to master the ignition technique to unleash its full power!"

Hearing this, Shawn’s mind sparked with inspiration. He asked, "Master Yuan! With my current state, will training in external martial arts give me twice the results with half the effort?"

Master Winston Yuan stroked his beard and laughed. "Heh heh—exactly! But remember, training will be several times harder for you than for ordinary people! You’ll need unwavering willpower—that’s crucial! With your meridians open and your dantian brimming with energy, you’re a rare martial arts prodigy! If you don’t train properly, you’ll waste your incredible potential!"

General Ethan Tang chimed in, "Heh heh—Shawn, didn’t you notice? Master Yuan wants to personally teach you martial arts! He’s the honorary chief instructor of the Bluecoat Imperial Guard in Beijing! Wouldn’t you want to learn a few moves from him while you have the chance?"

Shawn was stunned, then quickly bowed and clasped his fists in the traditional disciple salute. But Master Winston Yuan pressed his hands down and smiled, "Heh heh, Shawn, there’s a saying among cultivators: ‘Great masters are common, true prodigies are rare.’ In other words, there are plenty of skilled teachers, but gifted disciples are few and far between. If a sect gets such a disciple, it flourishes! I’m just a wandering martial artist, versed in many styles but not bound to any sect. That means I can teach you freely, without limitations! Our meeting is fate—no need for formalities! With your talent and aura, you’re destined for greatness. I’ll share with you the martial arts wisdom I’ve gained through a lifetime of cultivation—to give you a boost!"

Shawn was overjoyed and said excitedly, "Then—I really appreciate your guidance, Master Yuan!"

Master Winston Yuan suddenly grew serious. "Shawn, if I pass on my martial arts wisdom to you, I hope you’ll use your skills for the good of the country and the people—to fight evil and protect the weak. Never abuse your power or bully the helpless!"

Shawn immediately straightened up and nodded. "I’ll remember that, sir!"

Master Winston Yuan nodded. "Good! I believe you’ll do it! Judging by your aura and face, you’re destined for many romantic adventures, but your spirit is pure and clear—you know right from wrong!"
