That hidden weapon strike was just a flesh wound, but Hideko Chiba's venomous bite was absolutely lethal. The Mitsui clan's poisons are vicious as hell—the Chen Family is living proof. The moment Hideko Chiba bit down, Ryan Ling felt like everything below his dantian had been zapped by lightning, a burning pain shooting through him, and his lower body instantly swelling up.
In that instant, the Yanluo Golden Body blared its highest danger alert, all the weird runes on Ryan's body going absolutely haywire.
"Damn, I was just wondering where these two freaks hid their evil skills—turns out Hideko Chiba was stashed in Mitsuo Mitsui’s belly! These Japanese are next-level perverts. Their twisted dual-cultivation actually let them reach some freaky ‘male–female unity’!" The System inside him started screaming: "Ryan Ling, you’re in deep shit—the poison’s brutal, and even I can’t cure it right now. Get out, run, NOW!"
Honestly, Ryan didn’t need the System to spell it out—he knew he was totally screwed.
"You little bastard, this time you’re done for! Hahaha, my wife’s mouth is the deadliest in the world!" Mitsuo Mitsui crowed, while Hideko Chiba grinned wickedly, licking her lips like she wanted to eat Ryan Ling alive.
"Father, Mother, you two are amazing! I wish I could reach ‘male–female unity’ with the Evil God someday!" Even trapped inside the Demon-Snaring Bowl, Chiharu Mitsui was shouting in envy.
All the Chinese martial artists watching could see how bad things were—Ryan Ling was in real danger. Rose Yates, standing outside the crowd, didn’t care about anything else; her eyes were locked on Ryan. If anything happened to him today, she swore she’d never survive it.
In a flash, she dashed straight to Ryan Ling’s side, three steps in two.
"Brother Ling, your sister-in-law’s got your back—run!" Rose Yates shouted, throwing herself in front of him.
The other Chinese martial artists felt their hearts clench—a woman was willing to risk it all, so how could the men just stand there and do nothing?
“Let’s see which of you has the guts to move!” Right then, all the lurking Azure Dragon Society members jumped out—Hall Masters, Rudder Masters, Protectors, Elders—the whole Provincial Capital squad was here.
“Azure Dragon Society bigshots, Brother Ling is in danger! The Mitsui Group is way too arrogant—save him, don’t let those Japanese bastards win!” yelled an elderly white-haired martial artist, worked up to the max.
“What nonsense! Ryan Ling is a terrorist, not some hero! He’s a lunatic who attacked a foreign company and caused mass casualties—he’s a disgrace to China and deserves to die!” Grand Elder Walter Gu of Azure Dragon Society snapped, and all the other leaders nodded, shockingly united.
“You—you! Brother Ling fought Mitsui Group alone and you did nothing! Now he’s in danger, and you’re kicking him while he’s down. Azure Dragon Society, are you even human? You’re worse than animals!” The old white-haired martial artist, a WWII anti-Japanese veteran, was shaking with outrage.
Other righteous martial artists around the crowd flushed with anger. They’d already lost faith in Azure Dragon Society for standing by, but now they were furious.
“How dare you slander Azure Dragon Society! By the rules, you deserve death by slow slicing!” a Protector snarled.
“You dare? That’s Hubert Huang, the oldest Honorary Martial Arts Association president in the Provincial Capital! If you touch him, you’ll be enemies with every martial artist in the province!”
“That’s right! Azure Dragon Society, you’ve let us down—openly teaming up with Japanese scum, you’re worse than animals!”
“If Azure Dragon Society keeps acting like this, even Heaven will strike you down!”
......
Now, the whole crowd of martial artists was fired up, ready to go head-to-head with Azure Dragon Society.
“Rebels, all of you! If I say he dies, he dies. If you defend Ryan Ling, you’re a terrorist too—die!” Walter Gu sneered. Instead of backing off, he slashed Hubert Huang down with a single saber strike. The poor ninety-year-old anti-Japanese hero was killed for saying one sentence in Ryan’s defense.
Other Azure Dragon Protectors instantly joined in, killing every other righteous martial artist who spoke up.
The rest of the martial artists froze, faces red with fury but not daring to speak. Azure Dragon Society was just too powerful—even stronger than Mitsui Group on the ground.
“Go ahead, keep talking—I dare you!” Walter Gu laughed coldly, then made it official: “Listen up! Ryan Ling is a terrorist, a maniac who attacked a foreign company and endangered national relations. He must be caught and severely punished. Anyone who defends him or leaks a word about today dies—your families too! Azure Dragon Society doesn’t mess around, so you’d better watch yourselves!”
With that, Walter Gu led his forces straight at Mitsui Group HQ.
“Good! Brother Gu, you really are Japan’s best friend—Mitsui Group will take care of you!” Mitsuo Mitsui shouted gleefully, while Ryan Ling was about to be surrounded on all sides.
“Ryan Ling, use your wood-element immortal binding—trap them and run!” The System was freaking out. If he got caught between these two mobs, he was dead meat.
Ryan Ling didn’t hesitate—he cast the binding spell instantly. The sudden immortal arts trapped Mitsuo Mitsui and Walter Gu (who came running like a lapdog) right in the middle, and even Chiharu Mitsui inside the Demon-Snaring Bowl got knocked out by the last burst of wood-element qi.

"Go!" Ryan Ling gasped—this was his last trump card, and the ancient Heavenwood’s wood-element qi was almost gone. He had to bail, but as soon as he turned, the spot where the hidden weapon hit was burning and swelling too.
"Don’t panic, your sister-in-law’s here!" Rose Yates didn’t hesitate for a second. She grabbed Ryan Ling, hustled him to her car, and floored it out of the chaos downtown.
The whole city was in total chaos thanks to the Mitsui Group incident, but Rose Yates’s driving was top-tier—they vanished without a trace.
They sped through the suburbs; Ryan Ling was burning up with fever, his legs grotesquely swollen, sweat pouring off him, his face ghostly white.
"Brother, hang in there! Your sister-in-law won’t let you die—no way!" Rose Yates was so panicked she started crying, hugging Ryan tight. She was clearly heartbroken.
"It hurts... hurts..." Ryan Ling couldn’t help groaning. It felt like ten thousand needles stabbing his lower body—he was about to pass out from the pain.
"Hurts? Where? Let me see!" Rose Yates snapped into doctor mode—she knew a bit of medicine and forced herself to calm down.
Ryan Ling could barely speak—he just pointed weakly at his dantian.
Rose Yates didn’t hesitate—she lifted Ryan’s shirt. His navel was pitch black, and below it were deep bite marks, the darkest right where the poison was the strongest.
"Don’t be scared, brother—I’ll help you. You have to survive, you hear me?" Rose Yates said, then started sucking out the poison with her mouth.
Maybe it was Rose Yates’s oral skills, or maybe her saliva had some detox effect—either way, the pain eased up a little after she sucked out some venom.
"Sister-in-law, stop—if you keep going, you’ll get poisoned too!" Ryan Ling tried to stop her. Even though he was dying, his body still reacted to her licking and sucking.
"Seriously, you care about that right now? I’ve seen men before. Just lie still—your sister-in-law’s willing to do this for you!" Rose Yates said, yanking his pants down even further...
