Old Friend

"A WeChat message."

Andrew Han paused for a moment, then let out a breath.

Ever since he revealed his martial power in public, manifesting Glory to Green Mountain Sect and slaughtering Netherfiends and the Black Dragon... Andrew Han's WeChat and QQ accounts had nearly exploded, flooded daily by countless friend requests from strangers.

He had no idea how these people even found his accounts.

Maybe it was classmates showing off unintentionally, maybe someone offered a hefty reward, or maybe the accounts just spread like wildfire online.

After all, the internet contains everything.

For example, searching for activities at Riverford Experimental High School or Jiangnan University could easily lead to contact info for participants.

"Good thing the authorities regulate the internet."

"My WeChat and QQ are now set to a hidden, unsearchable state. Otherwise, thousands upon thousands of friend requests, all kinds of verification messages... Some are admiring, some are infatuated, and some are just endless temptations."

Thinking of this, Andrew Han shook his head.

No matter how dazzling the outside world, none of it could compare to even a fraction of what my little Meng means to me.

Hmm.

Lately, he's been getting more sentimental.

As this thought crossed his mind, Andrew Han was slightly surprised. He didn't even pick up his phone to check WeChat, instead reflecting on himself: Could enhancing Consciousness Power make emotions more volatile?

"I was like this at first, but later became more indifferent and withdrawn." Andrew Han sat at the edge of his bed.

The sky-blue bedsheet was spotless.

His tidy bedroom was filled with tranquility. The soft bed and computer desk were unchanged; beside his pillow still lay a mint-scented tissue box, heart-to-heart in its meaning. Only the swishing sound of goose-feather snow outside the window and the occasional laughter and playful noise broke the silence.

"That's right."

Andrew Han rubbed his brow. "Enhancing Consciousness Power helps release emotions. I've been far too repressed... Never mind, let's see who messaged me on WeChat."

He picked up his phone and casually swiped open the screen.

It was a WeChat message from his cousin Helen Han: Ahem, is the esteemed Andrew Han online?

Along with the message was a picture of a kitten hugging a dried fish, its big eyes brimming with cuteness. Andrew couldn't help but laugh.

His uncle George Han and cousin Helen Han were among his most important relatives.

In this restless, money-driven age, genuine family affection is rare... Selfless help before anyone was rich or powerful—though not quite life-saving—was still truly precious.

"I'm here, what's up?" Andrew replied with a grinning emoji.

Back when he was still in the Martial Arts World, before he had truly become invincible, there were always risks. To avoid dragging these relatives into danger, he rarely kept in touch.

But times had changed.

He was now in the Law Realm—no one dared covet him. Besides, the unity among Law Realm practitioners was almost unimaginable.

Even if a Law Realm Supreme noticed Andrew Han's uniqueness, they'd either ignore it or treat him with frankness... There was no scheming or petty conflict among Law Realm experts—ugly friction simply didn't happen.

Andrew Han was deep in thought.

His phone vibrated again. Helen Han replied, a bit embarrassed: "Nothing much, just wanted to see what you were up to."

"Just finished training." Andrew Han replied with a cheerful grin.

Of course, practicing the Consciousness Constellation Cultivation Method also counted as training—martial power was a broad concept, far more than just martial arts.

Helen Han replied instantly: "Keep it up!"

"I remember when you messaged me before, saying you'd switched to martial arts studies. I was shocked! And now, in less than two years, you've reached the Law Realm... Big shot! Andrew Han, the Big Shot!"

Andrew Han couldn't help but laugh: "What big shot?"

"You are a big shot," Helen Han replied.

"Alright," Andrew Han thought for a moment. "Ask Uncle George if he's free these days—I'll treat you both to something delicious."

"Something delicious?"

"You'll see when the time comes."
