A Dragon Will Appear

12/19/2025

Grace thought for a moment, then suddenly burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"Tying a rope and letting me hold it? Why did that make me think of a spirit pet? Hehehe!"

Evan Xiao's face darkened, and just as he was about to deal with her, the ground suddenly began to shake violently.

Evan Xiao held her close, his eyes narrowing.

Grace was shaken dizzy and disoriented. When things finally stopped, she asked in confusion, "Oh my god! What's happening? Is it an earthquake?"

"Aren't you good at divination? Take a guess—what's going on?" Evan Xiao's tone was teasing, but there was a hint of menace.

"Divination, huh? Hehe... Well... I can't divine a damn thing!"

"General, look!" Louis Lin pointed gravely into the distance.

Grace followed his gaze and saw raging flames erupting in the distance. The wildfire was fierce and spreading fast.

Through the flickering flames, they could vaguely see something massive moving, like a mountain come to life.

"Infernal Drake," Evan Xiao uttered.

He had come here for this very creature.

Sensing the Infernal Drake's aura, he and Louis Lin had tracked it down.

What he hadn’t expected was to run into Grace along the way.

The Infernal Drake wasn’t truly a dragon, but after it was born, it absorbed spiritual energy and grew huge in no time, its destructive power astonishing.

Whenever an Infernal Drake appeared in the world, it always brought disaster and chaos.

Only the Divine Race could subdue them.

......

When Grace heard the words 'Infernal Drake,' a sudden realization flashed through her mind.

In her previous life, at this time, she was in the palace, pregnant, living every day like a noble consort.

Ahem, well, she actually was a consort.

She spent her days with nothing to do, relying on Hope and Claire to tell her strange stories to pass the time.

Just now, when she heard the words 'Infernal Drake,' she suddenly remembered a rumor she’d heard back then.

Rumor had it that deep within Eastwood Forest, an Infernal Drake appeared—one powerful enough to destroy cities and kingdoms.

Then, a dragon appeared and killed it.

Not only that, the dragon sprayed water and brought rain, putting out all the fires the Infernal Drake had started.

It all sounded way too absurd.

Back then, Grace just thought it was gossip and didn’t take it to heart.

Who would've thought an Infernal Drake would actually appear now?

She immediately felt relieved and said to Evan Xiao and Louis Lin, "You two don’t need to worry, everything will be fine."

"Hmm?" Both of them turned to look at her.

She made a gesture as if calculating fate and smiled mysteriously at them. "I’ve divined it—a dragon will appear and take care of that Infernal Drake!"

Louis Lin’s mouth dropped open as he glanced sideways at His Highness.

Evan Xiao raised an eyebrow. "A dragon?"

"Yep!" Grace nodded confidently. "Just wait and see. I’m telling you, a dragon will definitely show up."

Evan Xiao said nothing.

Her divination skills were actually pretty accurate.

"Then can you divine where the dragon is now?" Louis Lin asked, looking puzzled. "Which direction will it come from?"

Grace pretended to calculate again and said, "Ah, the Infernal Drake’s magic is too strong—it’s blocking my spiritual sense! I can’t get any more details!"

The wildfire raged on, and the Infernal Drake lumbered closer with every step. Each time its foot hit the ground, a deep 'thud' echoed from afar.

Evan Xiao’s expression darkened. He told Grace, "Stay right here. Don’t go anywhere. Louis Lin and I will go down and take a look."

"What are you going to look for? That’s an Infernal Drake! One blast of fire and it could wipe out a whole city! It’s way too dangerous!" Grace grabbed onto him, refusing to let go.
