Lily Bai’s Weak Spot

1/4/2026

"What do you mean?" Shaun Fane asked, puzzled.

"Give the five billion you lost in the bet to Lily Bai," Colin Grant said.

"If I give it to her, I'll be totally bankrupt..." Shaun Fane gritted his teeth.

"That's called rebirth from destruction," Colin Grant said. "Your company is only worth under four billion now. Use your family's antique paintings to make up the difference."

"Can you explain it to me clearly?" Shaun Fane was completely confused.

"When the time comes, I'll give you one more painting," Colin Grant said. "Slip it in with the others, and Lily Bai will lose her composure. She'll find a way to get your five billion back for you—maybe even more."

"I don't get it... What's so special about that painting? Why would it make Lily Bai lose her cool?"

"Every snake has a weak spot; every person has a death point. That painting will hit Lily Bai's," Colin Grant said.

Shaun Fane thought about his situation. Macport Grand Casinos had already given him their final deadline. With no other way out, he nodded. "Fine! I'll do what he says."

...

Supreme Emperor’s Estate.

"Moonlight, call Grandpa." Xavier Xiao held the baby, his smile gentle and kind.

"Grandpa."

"Good boy. Who's that?" Xavier Xiao pointed at Lily Bai.

"Mama."

The Emperor pointed at Jean Shaw. "And this one?"

Moonlight: "Doggy."

"It's auntie, not doggy!" Jean Shaw puffed her cheeks.

"Doggy."

"Hahaha! Yes, doggy!" Eric Lan burst out laughing.

"Piggy." Moonlight pointed at him and called out.

"Pfft!" Jean Shaw laughed. "You're no better, Piggy."

Eric Lan stopped laughing and corrected him seriously: "Good Moonlight, I'm your uncle! Uncle!"

Moonlight: "Piggy."

"Come on! He's only three months old, why are you teaching him to talk already? Isn't it normal for kids to start talking at one?" Eric Lan said.

"My Moonlight is smart! Right, Moonlight?" The Emperor cradled his little head. "Can you say Daddy?"

"Daddy!" Moonlight pointed toward Dragon Mountain. "Daddy."

"Mm." Xavier Xiao understood what he meant. "Does Moonlight like Daddy?"

Moonlight grinned.

"Does Moonlight like Grandpa?"

His smile was still radiant.

"Moonlight is such a good boy." Xavier Xiao’s eyes suddenly reddened. "Just like your father when he was little—so well-behaved and smart."

General Lan had been watching the grandfather and grandson. Suddenly, he asked Lily Bai, "Lily, when is Moonlight’s dad coming back?"

Lily Bai paused for a moment and said, "It’ll be a while."

"What’s he so busy with? He hasn’t shown up for months."

Lily Bai was making up an excuse when Xavier Xiao helped her out: "Dad, Lily, I asked you here today to discuss when to hold the press conference to announce Lily and Moonlight’s identities."

Helen Lan is General Lan’s adopted daughter. Privately, Xavier Xiao always calls General Lan 'Dad.'

General Lan glanced at Lily Bai. "Anytime works, but you should tell Lily’s father first."

Xavier Xiao nodded. "Lily, can you ask your dad to come to Dragon City?"

Lily Bai replied, "Maybe next month. The company’s holding its semi-annual meeting, so he’s busy."

"That works. Let’s plan for next month," Xavier Xiao said. "But you could move here—it’s safer than the mountain."

Lily Bai apologized, "Dad... We’ll stay on the mountain for now."
