Plantation Plan

12/2/2025

Belle and Lily Evans discussed the general plan for purchasing the mountain and its future arrangements. As for the details, Belle would handle those later.

Now that the mountain was secured, trustworthy workers would be sent in to toil, but someone had to take charge.

Belle, as Lily Evans’ right-hand woman, was already responsible for off-season vegetables, mushrooms, and shipping goods overseas. Plus, she was pregnant—Lily definitely wouldn’t toss Belle into the plantation herself.

But the plantation absolutely needed someone trustworthy on site.

This person had to be tight-lipped, reliable, and—most importantly—skilled in planting.

After all, these seeds were brought in from overseas. The climate, soil, and water were all different—only someone truly adept could grow these spices well.

"Princess Consort, do you have anyone in mind?" Belle asked.

Lily Evans nodded, her expression serious. "I have two families in mind, but I haven’t made the final decision yet. Belle, you don’t have to worry about managing the plantation—just focus on finding the right mountain as soon as possible."

"Yes, Princess Consort. I’ll take care of it tomorrow," Belle replied.

Just as Belle finished speaking, Eugene Jr. returned and reported that the courtyard had been tidied up.

She huffed for a long time, but in the end couldn’t bring herself to say anything truly harsh.

"Yes, Lady Lily." Belle stood up, and Eugene Jr. hurried over to support her arm. Belle blushed and muttered, "I'm not lame, you make me look like I'm disabled."

Lily, half-asleep and grumbling, looked at Alexander and kicked him. "You rascal, all you think about is making babies. I need to discuss something with you."

"Yes, yes, yes! Please, dear wife, let me do the honors and support you." Eugene Jr. grinned.

"I want to hand the plantation over to someone else. Belle and Mrs. Penny are both pregnant, and I need someone trustworthy to take charge. Do you have any recommendations?" Lily Evans asked.

"You’re thinking way too hard, darling." Alexander Hayes’s stern expression quickly softened as he pulled Lily Evans into a hug. "Darling, both Peony and Belle are pregnant now."

"Hmm? Yes, I know." Lily raised her eyebrows, thinking to herself that Alexander usually didn’t care about women’s gossip—what was with him today?

"Then we should work hard to make a baby too." Alexander’s dark eyes locked onto Lily, making her heart skip a beat. Before she could react, he swept her up and carried her to the bedroom, launching his own baby-making campaign.

Maybe he really was determined to have a child—Alexander was especially relentless tonight, not letting up until midnight.

By the end, Lily’s skin was flushed pink, her body limp and exhausted, unable to move. All she could do was glare fiercely at the culprit: "You—you! Hmph!"

She huffed for ages, but in the end couldn’t bring herself to say anything truly harsh.

Realizing he’d gone overboard, Alexander quickly cleaned Lily up and cuddled her gently.

Half-asleep and grumbling, Lily looked at Alexander and kicked him. "You rascal, all you think about is making babies. I need to discuss something with you."

"What is it?" Alexander’s voice was low and gentle.

Lily snorted. So much for his usual coolness—his mind was full of baby-making. "I want to hand the plantation over to someone else. Belle and Mrs. Penny are both pregnant, and I need someone trustworthy to take charge. Do you have any recommendations?"
