The Emergence of a Hundred Saints

1/5/2026

"Die!" Conrad Kong roared, and a rainbow streak shot through the air. In an instant, it was like a Category 12 super typhoon had erupted, tearing through the space around them. Below, an ancient bell tower that had stood for eight centuries was swept clean off the ground, whirling up into the sky.

"Dong! Dong! Dong!" The bell echoed in the air, a chilling sound like a funeral toll for Ryan Ling.

Just as Conrad Kong unleashed nearly all his mid-stage Nascent Soul power, Ryan Ling couldn't help but stumble backward, fresh blood streaking across his body!

Even though Ryan was also at the Nascent Soul Stage, early stage and mid-stage are worlds apart. He was obviously getting steamrolled by Conrad Kong's brute force!

In that instant, the Ghost Elder, Guihai One-Blade, and the others all went pale!

This old ancestor of Huaxia, the Saint Ancestor of Lu Province, really was something else—his overwhelming saintly aura was sky-shattering.

At this moment, even the imperial qi of the entire royal city was swept up, pouring straight into Conrad Kong's attack wave.

"Saint Kong, truly the invincible Great Saint!" Down below, Elias Jin, the Thousand-Year Lord, dropped to his knees, showing his true bootlicker colors.

For a moment, it felt like all the luck in the world was converging on Conrad Kong alone!

Right now, everyone was staring at Ryan Ling. Nobody knew what was running through his mind!

"Mid-stage Nascent Soul, huh? I'm dying to see just how strong you really are!" Suddenly, Ryan Ling, who'd been retreating, planted his feet and squeezed his hand. Instantly, a monstrous war halberd, over three meters long, snapped out of thin air.

Conrad Kong froze!

He felt something flash before his eyes, sending a jolt of numbness through his head!

"What is that?" The crowd gasped. They could sense spiritual energy, celestial qi, and dragon qi all converging on that halberd. The weapon radiated an unspeakable might, and the instant its tip aimed at Conrad Kong, a savage killing aura shattered his attack wave on the spot!

"No way!" Conrad Kong reeled. The powerful aura he'd painstakingly built up had been scattered by a single strike!

He just couldn't get it—he'd burned through all his ancestral saintly qi, boosting his strength straight to mid-stage Nascent Soul. Crushing an early-stage Nascent Soul should've been as easy as squashing an ant.

But now, he'd barely even scratched Ryan—and even that little bit of damage was a total struggle!

Now he finally got a good look at the halberd in Ryan Ling's hands—the God-Slaughter Halberd.

Compared to his own Judgment Sword, it seemed a little inferior. But wielded by Ryan Ling—even if it wasn't an Immortal Artifact—it was as good as one.

It was like anything could be turned from trash to treasure in his hands!

“Just what kind of freak is this guy?” Even the saints were starting to lose track!

“Saints? Just ants!” Ryan Ling locked eyes with Conrad Kong, his voice dripping with mockery.

“Fight!” Conrad gritted his teeth, feeling utterly humiliated. With a sudden roar, rings of light erupted from his body, morphing instantly into razor-sharp ice blades—thousands of them, multiplying so fast they nearly filled the entire sky!

The ice blades spun at lightning speed, forming a massive sword array in the blink of an eye.

Cold, killing intent, and violent energy flooded the air—enough to make anyone’s blood run cold!

In an instant, the raging storm vanished—shockingly, snowflakes began to fall from the sky!

A saint’s wrath—snow falls for a thousand miles!

Conrad Kong might’ve inherited the family legacy, but he worked the whole ‘saintly aura’ thing like a pro!

But Ryan knew the truth: that so-called endless saintly aura was really just thanks to Conrad’s filthy-rich family stash. Those ice blades? Definitely another top-tier artifact!

The Kong Clan’s been building up for thousands of years—who knows how much loot Conrad’s sitting on!

“Kill!” Conrad shouted again, and thousands of ice blades shot toward Ryan Ling. Instantly, the crowd’s faces changed.

For a moment, all of Yan Capital seemed buried under the ice blades—no one could tell where the blades ended and the pale sky began!

“Hell yeah, bring it!” Ryan wasn’t panicked at all—he was practically buzzing with excitement. He swung the God-Slaughter Halberd wildly; when the Divine Dragon handed him this weapon, it secretly taught him the Ten Slash Halberd Technique.

With the Ten Slashes and the halberd combined, he could unleash power on par with an Immortal Artifact!

Now, as Ryan swung through the air—man and halberd moving as one—the whole world seemed to tremble!

Suddenly, all those ice blades looked like cheap knockoffs—totally worthless!

“That bastard! If I die, I’m taking him with me!” Conrad’s guts were boiling over. He screamed like a mad ghost, and all the falling snow froze into flying daggers, joining the ice blades—now there were tens of thousands of weapons flying at Ryan!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Countless blades swarmed like suicidal locusts. Even though Ryan kept slashing, there were just too many—within seconds, he was completely wrapped up by the ice blade array.

Layer after layer, inside and out—he looked like a giant zongzi dangling in midair!

Conrad clenched his fists and shouted again: “Seal!”

With that shout, the giant ‘zongzi’ instantly froze into a massive block of ice. No matter how sharp Ryan’s halberd was, it couldn’t break through.

But the freezing was just phase one. Next, dozens of glowing rings appeared in the sky—inside each was a weird little figure. Looking closer, everyone realized: they were all ancestral saints!

These saintly avatars formed the second layer, trapping Ryan in a swirling mass of sacred words. The crowd’s hearts were pounding.

A hundred saints emerging—an omen of epic luck!

Right away, more people dropped to their knees, too stunned to say a word.

“Kid, no matter what tricks you’ve got, you’re trapped by my ice and the Hundred Saints Array. Today, I’ll execute you for the sake of Huaxia’s people!” Conrad yelled, his body transforming—white light radiated from his organs, bones, spine, veins, muscles, and skin, sending shockwaves through everyone!

“Looks like Ryan’s not moving—he’s totally frozen, right?” All the top cultivators stared, not just at Ryan but at the whole city, which seemed locked in ice.

“A hundred saints have appeared—no one can match that. Even Ryan Ling has to lose; he’s not a god!” someone sighed regretfully.

“Is Boss really done for?” Lin Zhan, Million Jin, and the others were stunned. With all Huaxia’s hundred saints out, no mortal could hope to win.

Even Guihai One-Blade, who’d been supremely confident in Ryan, was stone-faced now. The Hundred Saints Array was clearly Conrad’s trump card—once unleashed, it was like he controlled the laws of heaven and earth. No one could cross that line!

“Ghost Elder!” Suddenly, Guihai called out urgently.

But right now, Ghost Elder was silent—he seemed frozen solid alongside Ryan!

“Die!” Conrad grinned wickedly. Ice spikes sprouted from every frozen stone, and the hundred saints raised their sacred swords—this was the final move.

Conrad wanted to slice Ryan Ling to pieces in front of all Yan Capital!

“Ryan, how’s it going?” Ghost Elder finally heard Guihai’s call, but the ice sealed him off from the outside world. Ryan looked frozen solid—hard as steel.

“Ryan!” Ghost Elder got anxious and raised his voice.

“I’m fine!” Ryan let out a slow breath. “I’m using this chance to comprehend Conrad’s saint-path—or more accurately, the Kong Clan’s saint-path!”

“Comprehend the saint-path?” Ghost Elder frowned, clearly not expecting Ryan to be so chill.

“Saints aren’t compassionate—they treat all things as mere fodder. The hundred saints have good hearts, but Conrad’s is totally rotten!” Ryan said quietly, his eyes now soft with kindness instead of rage.

“You just communed with the Kong Clan’s hundred saints?” Ghost Elder was shocked—even he couldn’t read Ryan’s mind now.

“I’m one with the hearts of the hundred saints. That’s why this Hundred Saints Array won’t hurt me—if it did, Huaxia’s saint-path would collapse, and none of the Kong Clan’s saints would ever allow that!” As Ryan finished, the hundred saints stopped being phantoms. They stepped out from beyond time and space, one by one, leaving everyone dumbstruck. The whole crowd—including Conrad—dropped to their knees in shock.
