Vivian Jiang, Free at Last

Charles Yin took the document, quickly scanned through it, and steadily signed his name at the bottom.

After more than thirty years of marriage, both of them knew exactly what assets they each owned.

As the eldest daughter of the Jiang Family, Vivian Jiang naturally had considerable wealth.

Most of Charles Yin's assets had already been returned to the Yin Family, and his remaining personal property was given to Cici Grant.

So, there wasn't much of value left for Charles Yin.

That's why he signed the divorce agreement without any hesitation, nor did he ask about Vivian Jiang's assets.

"Stay for a meal, will you? It's simple here, don't mind the lack of luxury." After signing, Charles Yin seemed relieved.

In truth, this marriage had always been a shackle for both of them.

One was unwilling to let go, the other couldn't quell their anger.

Now that the papers were signed, both felt a sense of relief.

It was the first time Charles Yin had ever invited someone to stay for a meal. Cici Grant and Charles Yin were both a little surprised by the gesture.

With Charles Yin's approval, assistants A and B carried a huge pile of ingredients up the mountain, while everyone else obediently waited at the foot.

As the daughter-in-law, Cici Grant naturally took charge as the chef, bustling around the kitchen preparing lunch.

Ethan Yin and Miles Gu chatted with Charles Yin, while Charles Yin fetched water from the mountain stream to help water the fields.

For the first time, the three generations—five people—were living together as peacefully as an ordinary family.

Cici Grant quickly prepared a simple lunch and called the young master, Charles Yin, Ethan Yin, and Miles Gu over to eat.

Charles Yin looked at the scene before him, his eyes momentarily dazed.

If his beloved Meier were still alive, would he have been able to enjoy such family bliss every day?

During this meal, everyone tacitly avoided mentioning the Yin Family, the past, or the future.

At the table, Charles Yin quizzed Ethan Yin and Miles Gu about their studies, and their answers made him very satisfied.

Just then, Ethan Yin suddenly hopped over, grabbing Cici Grant's finger. "Mommy, the kindergarten teacher said there's a parent-teacher meeting this weekend! Daddy said he's too busy to go, so you should go!"

Miles Gu came over too, pleading, "Mommy, you should go! All the other kids have their moms go. Daddy's so handsome, every time those aunties see him, they go crazy for him, so Daddy never goes! All the other kids have their moms, but we don't..."

After saying this, Miles Gu's eyes instantly turned red!

Seeing her sweet son with red eyes, Cici Grant felt a pang of heartache!

Ethan Yin chimed in, "Exactly! Daddy dropped us off at school again, and those annoying aunties just shamelessly crowd around him! And Teacher Chen always asks when she can come for a home visit! Hmph, it's obvious she just wants to get close to Daddy! We don't want that!"

Charles Yin stood off to the side, feeling awkward.

Cici Grant gave him a meaningful look. "Oh? Actively trying to get close, huh?"

Charles Yin braced himself and replied, "Cici, I swear on my life! I've never paid any attention to them!"

But Daddy, this time every kid has to do the home visit! The parent-teacher meeting is right before the home visit!" Ethan Yin 'accidentally' exposed his daddy.

And Teacher Chen said she'll patiently wait for Daddy to make time to see her," Miles Gu added, exposing him too. "I heard Teacher Chen's been doing beauty treatments lately and spent over ten thousand yuan on her hair."

Ethan Yin and Miles Gu attend the prestigious kindergarten run by Yin Enterprises.
