Taken Away, Serena Is Very Busy

2/14/2026

Inside the secret chamber of Sutton Manor, before Serena Feng could speak, Vincent Su quietly stepped out, leaving the room to Serena and Storm Cloud Bu.

Storm Cloud Bu sat half-naked, his upper body as red as a boiled shrimp. Serena Feng entered and immediately frowned, inwardly mocking Lance Quinn’s so-called ‘care’—how could someone be looked after so poorly? Truly remarkable.

She started by giving Storm Cloud Bu an antipyretic injection, followed by local anesthesia, and finally cleaned the wound.

The wound on his back had turned septic in just a single day.

“What weapon injured you—so vicious? I thought it was just an iron rod, but clearly it’s more complicated. And with the poor conditions in this secret chamber, you’re really suffering.” Serena Feng scraped away the necrotic flesh from Storm Cloud Bu’s body.

Maybe the anesthesia wasn’t strong enough, or maybe Storm Cloud Bu was simply in too much pain—he kept groaning, struggling to endure.

“This injury is no ordinary wound. Meeting me is your luck, so do as I say and don’t move. I promise I’ll heal you.” Serena Feng wasn’t gentle, so her reassurance came out blunt and stiff.

Yet Serena Feng’s voice carried a steadying power. Just those few words stopped Storm Cloud Bu’s groans and kept him from moving.

Serena Feng let out a breath, swiftly sutured his wound, then set up an IV with anti-inflammatory drugs and glucose to ease the patient’s pain.

“Vincent Su, you can come in now.” After tidying up, Serena Feng took out a packet of antipyretic medicine.

“Take the previous medicine exactly as I prescribed, both in dosage and frequency. Add this packet—three pills, three times a day. If anything goes wrong, contact me immediately. I’ll check on him again tomorrow night. And most importantly, follow my instructions strictly. Don’t just shove pills into his mouth—medicine is three parts poison, taking more isn’t always better.” Serena Feng checked the supply of medicine she’d left for Lance Quinn; in only one day, three days’ worth was missing.

Medicine isn’t candy. You can’t just take it whenever you want.

“Alright.” Vincent Su admitted he’d never properly cared for a patient before. Whenever Lance Quinn was injured, no matter how serious, he would just bandage the wound and leave.

Storm Cloud Bu, always a bother—why couldn’t he be a little stronger? And he’s supposed to be the second-best fighter in the martial world.

“Make sure he gets nutritious food these next few days, and finally move him to a well-ventilated room. This secret chamber is terrible for his recovery.” Even though the room was lit with luminous pearls instead of candles, it was still suffocatingly stuffy.

“I’ll take care of it.” Vincent Su noted down every instruction. Watching Serena Feng shoulder her medical kit and blindfold herself, he couldn’t help but think this woman was truly clever—no matter how close they were, she never pried into things she shouldn’t know or see.

“Serena, my younger brother has abdominal cramps. Since you’re here, could you take a look at him too?” Vincent Su didn’t give Serena Feng a chance to refuse and led her away immediately.

Vincent Su’s hand was just as warm as ever!

Serena Feng didn’t like it, but she could only endure.

Smooth and soft, Vincent Su couldn’t help but marvel as he held Serena Feng’s hand—how did she maintain such delicate skin, wielding a scalpel every day?

Finally arriving at Leon Su’s room, Serena Feng immediately pulled her hand away, leaving Vincent Su feeling a little disappointed—he wished he could hold on a bit longer.

Leon Su was the child Serena Feng had saved in the morgue. He was already fast asleep, and Serena had no intention of waking him.

“Light the lamp!” Serena Feng ordered Vincent Su, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

For a child with abdominal cramps, if it’s not a physical problem, it’s usually indigestion or something bad he ate.

Back in the morgue, Serena Feng had already checked Leon Su—he was in good health. After glancing at his slightly sallow complexion and gently pressing his belly, Serena understood immediately.

She tossed three packets of pagoda candy to Vincent Su. “Give him half a packet a day, he’ll feel better soon.”

Both Vincent Su and Leon Su trusted Serena Feng’s medical skills completely. The next morning, Leon woke up complaining nonstop: “Big brother, Sister Feng came and you didn’t wake me! She saved my life, and you won’t even let me thank her. Why didn’t you let me see her when she was here?”

Leon Su was a handsome kid, a true little princeling. That morning, he stretched his face into a stern, serious look—adorable.

If Serena Feng saw him, she’d definitely rave about how cute little princelings and little lolis are—the ultimate in adorableness. Just looking at them would cheer anyone up.

“Big brother, are you worried that if Sister Feng sees me, she’ll like me instead of you?” Leon Su said smugly, popping pagoda candy into his mouth.

Vincent Su quietly looked away, too lazy to argue with Leon.

Little brat—thinking all sorts of nonsense at such a young age.

“No wonder Sister Feng’s medicine isn’t bitter at all. She’s amazing! When I grow up, I want to marry someone just like her.” Leon Su munched on pagoda candy, his eyes squinting with joy—until suddenly, his smile vanished.

“Oww, big brother, my stomach hurts!” Leon cried, clutching his belly, his face pale as he rolled around on the bed.

Vincent Su’s expression changed instantly. He scooped Leon up: “Leon, don’t scare me! Somebody get a doctor, quick!”

Leon Su was the only family Vincent cared about—his one and only.

“Gurgle, gurgle…” Leon’s stomach kept rumbling.

“Big brother, don’t call the doctor—I just need the toilet.”

“Alright, I’ll carry you over.” Vincent said.

For young masters in wealthy families, there was no need to go outside to the latrine. There was a wooden chamber pot right behind the screen, and a maid would clean up afterward.

After a noisy commotion, Leon Su felt completely relieved, while Vincent Su thought the stench was unbearable—even incense couldn’t mask it. Just as he was about to wait outside, Leon suddenly shouted, “Ah! Big brother, a snake—a snake! I pooped out a snake!”

Sutton Manor was in chaos. Vincent Su’s first thought was to carry his brother to Feng Manor, but when the Su brothers arrived, Serena Feng was nowhere to be found.

“Master Su, I’m sorry, but my teacher was summoned by the Capital Prefect.” Simon Sun, usually a bit scatterbrained, was now all seriousness.

There was nothing to be done—Serena Feng was so busy, all because of her father. He’d made such a mess of the Lyndarian Crown Prince’s injury that he pushed his own teacher into the spotlight.

Early this morning, she’d been set up by her father yet again…

“Taken away by the Capital Prefect? Did he say what for?” Vincent Su was worried the Capital Prefect had arrested Serena Feng, and he also asked after Storm Cloud Bu.

Leon Su didn’t care about any of that. “Big brother, hurry and save Sister Feng! Nothing must happen to her—she’s my future bride!”

The little princeling’s stomachache had vanished. Hearing that Serena Feng was taken away by the Capital Prefect, he forgot all about his fear of the snake in the toilet.

“Let’s go.” Vincent Su swept off like a whirlwind, leaving Simon Sun no time to explain.

“Simon Sun, where’s your teacher?”

Vincent Su had just left when Dominic Zhai arrived.

“Your Lordship, my teacher was taken away by the Capital Prefect,” Simon Sun replied cooperatively. He was about to explain the reason, but Dominic Zhai had already mounted his horse and galloped off toward the prefectural hall…

“Serena Feng, you really are a trouble magnet.”

Even from a distance, that grumbling could still be heard…

As luck would have it, not long after Dominic Zhai left, Ethan Hsieh and Caleb Wang arrived. Ethan came under the pretense of visiting his aunt, while Caleb wanted news of the Lyndarian Crown Prince. Hearing Simon Sun’s words, they had no time for questions and jumped back onto their carriage, speeding away…
