Battle of Attrition 7

I looked at Luke Ling in confusion, and Hugh Thompson also seemed deeply puzzled. At that moment, I saw several Black-Faced Men carrying a table, along with a steaming teapot and cups. They approached and respectfully brewed tea for Luke Ling.

"Go ahead, 12:10 then. I can wait. Before that, I'll give you one last chance: surrender, or die here, all of you. I'm actually quite reasonable—unlike those other fighters, you know."

"Let's rush out and fight them!"

Old Nine immediately shouted, but at that moment, everyone fell silent. Luke Ling's words had just shattered any hope we had of waiting for a miracle.

At this moment, Hugh Thompson started to laugh.

"It seems waiting is no longer an option. We can't just sit here and wait for death. If we keep waiting, there won't be any miracles. No matter how strong that butler from Yinchou is, facing monsters like these—two of them, in fact—there's no way he'll make it in time."

I was thinking about what exactly The Dark Banquet was. When Luke Ling spoke of it, his eyes were filled with excitement. Hugh Thompson had already gathered all the Blue Wraiths, apparently preparing for what came next. I stepped forward, clenching my fists.

"The Dark Banquet—what is it, really?"

I shouted loudly. Luke Ling smiled and sipped his tea.

"Do you really want to know, Ethan Zhang?"
