If You Don’t Hurt Him, I Will Marry You
Just as Lana Situ and Evan Yang had taken several steps forward, Warren Wong suddenly threw out a pill. The pill exploded between them, releasing a faint black mist that instantly spread around them.
It happened so fast that neither Lana nor Evan had time to react—the black mist immediately enveloped them both.
"A pill blast!" Evan’s heart jumped in alarm. Lana spun around furiously and shouted, "Warren Wong, what’s the meaning of this?!"
"Isn’t it obvious? I’m just stopping you two!" Warren Wong sneered, watching them through the veil of black mist.
At first, neither of them felt anything from the mist, so Lana mocked, "What kind of pill is this? All smoke but no real effect!"
Seeing that Lana hadn’t figured it out, Warren burst out laughing. "How ridiculous! Do you even know what kind of pill I just set off?"
"What pill?" Lana, affected by his laughter, asked with a serious expression.
"It’s called a Spirit-Sealing Pill." Warren laughed even harder, brimming with confidence at their ignorance.
"What?!" Lana’s eyes widened in shock when she heard the name of the pill.
Evan, though exposed to the pill as well, felt no discomfort at all. Instead, the three-leaf Heaven-Cold Seed inside him quietly absorbed the faint black spiritual energy, turning it into nourishment.
Right now, Lana Situ wasn’t concerned with Evan Yang’s expression or Warren Wong’s suspicions. She just wanted Evan to leave—once her cultivation recovered, she could drag Warren down with her and reclaim her pride.
So Lana turned to Warren and asked, "Well? What do you say?"
"If it was earlier, maybe I would have agreed. But now? Hmph, I’m going to torment this little beggar right in front of you!" Warren's twisted mind made him spit out such hateful words.
"You!" Lana was furious, pointing at Warren in outrage.
Warren stared coldly at Lana, his smile twisted as he walked toward Evan. He sneered, "Little beggar, little beggar, you just don’t know your place!"
"That’s a strange thing to say. When did I ever provoke you? Or is it that your Wong Clan just can’t stand anyone else in the world?" Evan replied with a cold laugh.
"Still talking tough when you’re about to die?" Warren was angered by Evan’s words, but remembering Evan was poisoned, he just sneered in return.
Lana hurriedly stepped in front of Evan, spreading her arms to shield him like any ordinary person would. She said, "Warren Wong, haven’t you always liked me? Always wanted me as your partner? Fine, I agree. Now will you let him go?"
"You two adulterers, do you really think I’m that stupid? Lana Situ, I visited your family so many times and you always treated me coldly. Now look at you—lowering yourself so much for a little beggar!" Warren, seeing Lana protect Evan, was consumed with jealousy and anger.
Evan was deeply grateful for how Lana shielded him, but Lana wasn’t thinking about anything else now. If she could save her friend and then die, that would be her greatest value.
At this moment, Lana Situ didn’t care about Evan Yang’s expression or Warren Wong’s suspicions. All she wanted was for Evan to leave, so she could recover her cultivation and later drag Warren down with her, reclaiming her dignity.
So Lana asked Warren, "Well? What do you say?"
"If it were a moment ago, maybe. But now? Hmph, I’m going to torment this little beggar right in front of you!" Warren’s twisted mind made him spit out such hateful words.
"You!" Lana was furious, pointing at Warren in outrage.
Warren stared coldly at Lana, his smile twisted as he walked toward Evan. He sneered, "Little beggar, little beggar, it’s your own fault for not knowing your place!"
"That’s a strange thing to say. When did I ever provoke you? Or is it that your Wong Clan just can’t stand anyone else in the world?" Evan replied with a cold laugh.
