Mina’s Identity (Part Two)

1/19/2026

The middle-aged man's strange words left Evan Chu, Silver Dragon, and Mina all feeling bewildered. Mina, the mermaid girl, seemed to sense something—her face turned extremely pale.

"Dad, do I have some other real identity? Am I not your biological daughter?" Mina asked.

Honestly, I've wanted to tell you for a long time, but I was just too selfish. I didn't want you to know your true identity because I wanted you to stay by my side for a few more years. I never expected to nearly lose my life this time—if I don't say it now and I really die someday, you might never know who you truly are.

I'm not actually your biological father. You see me now as just a late-stage God-King, right? But back in the day, I was a force to be reckoned with in the Sea Regions—everyone knew my name. But after that great war, I was nearly crippled, and after all these years, I still haven't recovered.

You might not believe this, but it's the truth. Back then, I was the top general under the North Sea Dominion Lord. Everyone in the Sea Regions knows there are supposed to be four Dominion Lords, but in reality, there have only been three for a long time—the North Sea Dominion Lord actually died in that great war, but nobody knows." The middle-aged man suddenly stopped here.

Evan Chu and his companions were even more confused now—their own backgrounds were mysterious, yet this middle-aged man was willing to share such secrets with them. Wasn't he worried these secrets might be leaked?

Or was it just because Evan had saved his life, so he felt no need to guard himself? If that was the case, it seemed far too simple—Evan wasn't convinced by this explanation.

After the North Sea Dominion Lord's battle with that Sea-Clan powerhouse, he was gravely injured. I was also seriously wounded in that war. When we returned, to keep the Sea Domain's experts from discovering his condition, he went straight into seclusion.

During that war, his God Infant was destroyed. Thanks to his immense strength, he managed to survive for another three years before passing away, but no one knew he had truly died. While he was in seclusion, he had a trusted aide disguise himself and take his place, fooling everyone. He rarely appeared in public, and most domain affairs were handled by the elders.

For years, things were peaceful, but recently I heard rumors that some people have started to question the current North Sea Dominion Lord's identity. I wanted to go to the North Sea Dominion Palace to explain, but I was attacked along the way. Since my strength hasn't recovered, I barely escaped with my life.

After that, I met you all, and that’s how everything happened. Mina is actually the biological daughter of the North Sea Dominion Lord—only the current Dominion Lord knows this." The middle-aged man continued.

The more Evan Chu and his group listened, the more confused they became. Suddenly, there was talk of a daughter no one knew about—could she be an illegitimate child? If so, that would be unbelievable.

And why did he fight that powerhouse? Who is that powerhouse, really? Why did he take away the Dominion Lord’s daughter, and who is her mother? All these questions swirled in Evan Chu and his companions’ minds.

"Dad, what are you talking about? I know you mean well, but even if you make up stories, you can’t just abandon me. I don’t care about the North Sea Dominion Lord or any powerhouse—I just know you’re my dad!" Mina said, the mermaid girl.

Silver Dragon exchanged a glance with Evan Chu, then asked, “How did you fight the Sea-Clan’s supreme expert? Why did that expert let you go? Don’t other Sea Region experts know about this? And how did you take Mina away—who is her mother?”

“That’s exactly what I wanted to tell you. Back then, the North Sea Dominion Lord never married, but he got along very well with my younger sister. As for how my sister had a child, I don’t know. So, I’m actually Mina’s uncle, but she’s never known.”

The Sea Regions’ Supreme Expert is a very mysterious person—no one knows his true name. We met him by chance. That time, my sister, the North Sea Dominion Lord, and I went to a secret-realm in the Sea Regions to look for treasure. It was said there was a celestial meteorite there, and if you absorbed its power, you could break through your current realm.

At that time, both the North Sea Dominion Lord and I had late-stage God-Venerable strength. We naturally wanted to break through, and my sister was at mid-stage God-Venerable, strong enough to join us. There are many secret-realms in the Sea Regions, but the most dangerous is the North Sea Abyss Secret-Realm—almost no one can even approach it.

The North Sea Dominion Lord, being young and ambitious, thought that the more dangerous the place, the fewer people would go, so the chances of finding the meteorite would be higher. So he decided to take the risk. We really did find the meteorite, but just as we were celebrating, the Supreme Expert appeared.

The Supreme Expert—this was our conclusion at the time. I was defeated in just three moves; the North Sea Dominion Lord lasted five moves, and my sister was knocked unconscious in a single blow.

Originally, the Supreme Expert intended to kill all three of us, but then he discovered my sister was already three months pregnant. Maybe that’s why we survived.

Because my sister was gravely injured in that war and her pregnancy was affected, she died less than half a month after giving birth to Mina. I was basically crippled. Before she passed, she poured her remaining energy into Mina, making her an ordinary person so she’d stay away from conflict and live a long life.

The North Sea Dominion Lord asked me to take his child away, raise her in secret, and never reveal her identity. He returned to the North Sea Dominion Palace to manage affairs, but his injuries were so severe that he confided the truth only to his most trusted friend.

After that, the Supreme Expert never made any moves against the North Sea Dominion Palace. That’s everything. I know it’s strange for me to tell you all this, since we’ve just met, and such secrets shouldn’t be shared.

Actually, when I first met you, I noticed something odd about your aura—it’s very similar to that Supreme Expert’s. But you saved me, so you clearly aren’t from any other Sea Region faction. That’s why I trust you.

To be honest, the Supreme Expert spared us on purpose. The North Sea Dominion Lord was young and arrogant, thinking we could easily defeat him, but the Supreme Expert was far too powerful—he crushed us in just a few moves. Thinking back now, I regret it.

Evan Chu and Silver Dragon were both shaken to the core. They understood part of what the middle-aged man said, but one thing was clear—the Supreme Expert was probably not a native of the Sea Regions, but a God Realm powerhouse who broke through the void to get here. As for who he really is, that remains a mystery…
