"Damn, you're asking for it!" Ryan Ling was already burning up inside. He'd been stressed out about Warren Yuan these past two days, his nerves frayed and his temper short. Now, hearing Angie Chen say that, he just grabbed her straight away.
"Missed me?" Angie Chen grinned, all mischief.
"Missed you like crazy!" Ryan shot back, not even thinking, and just squeezed her 'grapes' hard.
"Ugh, you're so bad! Get off!" Angie Chen protested, wriggling free from Ryan and heading upstairs.
"Trying to run, huh? Think you can escape my Five-Finger Mountain today?" Ryan charged after her, scooped her up, and kicked open the balcony door.
"What are you up to?" Angie Chen blinked. They were in the Chen Family's villa in Dragonridge City, up on the fifth floor. Thanks to the mountain, looking down made the whole city seem to be at their feet.
"Didn't you say you like thrills? Well, tonight's your lucky night—get in position!" Ryan pressed her against the floor-to-ceiling glass by the balcony. The whole villa was empty—everyone else was busy taking care of Warren Yuan, Lin Zhan and Harvey Jin were recovering, Sophie Su and Lily Liu had been out shopping for days and hadn't come back yet. So tonight, Ryan could really let loose.
"Stop it, stop it, stop it! I don't want anyone seeing us!" For once, Angie Chen was actually a little shy, but Ryan didn't care—he just tore her clothes right off.
Soon, the whole balcony was shaking, and Angie Chen's screams rang out, almost like a pig being slaughtered.
"Oh my god, why are you so wild this time? You're gonna kill me!" Angie Chen screamed, almost unable to take it, struggling to escape. But Ryan just held her tight and wouldn't let go.
Ryan Ling now was a whole different beast from before—he'd just been appointed a Ghost-General, a real ghost-path war commander. He was way more dominant in every way, and when it came to manly stuff, he was even more savage.
Angie Chen's wild screams turned into cries of agony.
Even the nearest villa—four or five hundred meters away—had all its lights turn on, like people thought wolves were attacking.
And just like that, they went at it for two or three hours. Angie Chen must've begged for mercy hundreds of times before Ryan finally let her go.
This time, Angie Chen was totally wiped out, collapsed on the floor, drenched in sweat like she'd just been fished out of a pool—and there was a huge puddle under her.
Honestly, most women would probably be scared to death by a scene like this!
Ryan lit up a cigarette and went to help her, but Angie Chen shoved him away.
"What's wrong? Did I hurt you?" Ryan grinned wickedly.
Angie Chen nodded, then quickly shook her head. "Yeah, it hurt—but it felt insanely good, too. This kind of pain-pleasure, I'm probably the only girl in the world who gets to experience it!"
"Damn, you're so wild I'm speechless!" Ryan shook his head and went to smoke again, but Angie Chen snatched his cigarette away.
Angie Chen took a deep breath, feeling totally refreshed. She looked at Ryan Ling and grinned, "Looks like I can't satisfy you by myself anymore. Plus, you said you can't hook up with Sophie Su, and Lily Liu is basically your sister. Should I find you another girl or what?"
"Angie Chen, what goes on in that little head of yours? Is the rich-kid circle really this wild?" Ryan Ling rolled his eyes and pinched her nose.
"Totally, the rich crowd is pretty wild—but I'm only wild for you. No other guy even comes close!" Angie Chen said, stuffing the cigarette back in Ryan's mouth.
Ryan stared at her sexy lips and couldn't help but go in for another deep kiss.
A few minutes later, they finally broke apart.
"Alright, let's talk business. Got any ideas for helping Old Warren? His situation's super dangerous—we need to fix it ASAP!" Ryan Ling switched the topic back.
"Heh, the Simon Sun you're looking for is actually a distant relative of the Chen Family—he's my remote cousin-in-law..." Angie Chen started, but Ryan Ling cut her off.
"Well that's perfect! So you're family—just head over to the Sun place and ask him for a favor!"
"If only it were that easy, I'd have gone myself and wouldn't need you!" Angie Chen sighed. "Simon Sun is seriously weird and stubborn. He doesn't owe anyone anything, and after my poor cousin-in-law died, he got even more reclusive—cut off all relatives, barely leaves home, maybe five days a year tops. Seeing him is harder than meeting the President of the United States!"
"What's so weird about him?" Ryan Ling asked, genuinely curious.
"Yeah, he's weird. Super weird. But you know what they say—the weirder someone is, the more badass they are. My cousin-in-law is basically a genius at everything. Bone-setting? Any injury, he fixes it instantly. And when it comes to medicine, pills, and gathering herbs, he's obsessed. Here in Dragonridge City, where all the 'immortals' supposedly live, people say only one guy's really made it into the immortal path—Simon Sun, who 'entered Dao through medicine.' That's why his nickname is the Modern Medicine King!" Angie Chen finished, and Ryan Ling felt a chill run through him.
There was an ancient Medicine King named Sun Simiao, and now there's a Modern Medicine King named Simon Sun. Clearly, Ryan Ling had to go visit him. Ryan had a hunch Simon could help not just Warren Yuan's Dao root, but maybe even boost his own cultivation.
He'd made a ton of progress lately, but there was still a lot to sort out—especially the second layer of the Purgatory Soul-Suppressing Art. That whole stage needed Yin-Maiden energy to advance, so just like the first layer, he'd have to refine it slowly until it really became his own.
"So basically, you're saying you're out of options?" Ryan Ling switched gears.
"Haha, there's not much I can do with him directly—but he has a precious daughter named Cindy Sun, my little cousin. When I heard you guys were looking for my cousin-in-law, I got in touch with her. My cousin-in-law is weird, but he totally dotes on Cindy. So if you win her over, you've basically won him over too!" Angie Chen snapped her fingers.
"Nice, good plan! So you've already won Cindy Sun over, right?" Ryan Ling asked eagerly.
"Not so fast—I've just started getting close to her. The rest is up to you!" Angie Chen smirked.
"Me? What am I supposed to do?" Ryan Ling froze, seeing Angie Chen's suggestive look and getting a little flustered.
"Relax, she's super classy—nothing like me. But she's obsessed with dance and music. Tomorrow night, there's a masquerade ball at the Grand Guest Hotel downtown. Help her take first place, and she'll definitely help you out!" Angie Chen pulled out a photo of Cindy Sun. The girl looked so fresh and adorable, almost like a little loli—just ridiculously cute.
"Alright, you want me to be her dance partner, right?" Ryan Ling took the photo and asked.
"Yep, just be her dance partner. And hey, if you end up liking my little cousin, I'll do whatever it takes to get you in bed with her!" Angie Chen giggled.
"Ha! Sleep with Cindy Sun? I'd rather sleep with you!" Ryan Ling laughed, pinning Angie Chen down again. Angie grabbed Ryan's butt, "Come on, boss, don't hold back—let's go all night!"
"Damn, I love how wild you are!" Ryan Ling said, and the whole villa started shaking again.
Hundreds of meters away, an old night watchman in another villa shivered, "Good lord, how many wolves have come down the mountain tonight?"
The next evening, Angie Chen rolled up in a red Ferrari with Ryan Ling and headed for the Grand Guest Hotel. The place had been around since before the founding of the republic, massive and fully equipped—kind of like Peachvale County's Huifeng Tower, but at least ten times bigger. With a name like 'Grand Guest,' you knew only the top VIPs got invited!
When Angie Chen stepped out of the car, all eyes at the hotel entrance were on her. Tons of guys were practically drooling, and plenty of them shot Ryan Ling dirty looks.
"Cousin!" chirped a voice as sweet as a songbird.
