Last Words

Grandmaster Victor Zhou looked over at Evan Lin, his face full of fury.

His gaze had sunk completely, dark and heavy.

“Is that so?”

Evan Lin patted Yvette Locke on the head.

Yvette, who had just eaten two Nourishing Spirit Pills, looked much better now.

“Go rest to the side.”

Hearing Evan’s words, Yvette nodded obediently.

She never doubted Evan’s words for a second, nor would she ever think to refuse him.

“I’m not really hungry anymore, but I still kind of want to eat.”

Yvette took a couple steps, then turned back to look at Evan, putting on a pitiful face and squeezing her stomach.

Having sent Yvette off,

Evan turned to face Victor Zhou.

Right now, in everyone’s eyes, Master Lin from Seacrest was still radiating torrents of inner energy, endlessly pouring out under the pressure of the formation.

Every step he took left behind a trail of condensed, undispersed qi.

That nearly tangible energy struck awe into everyone watching.

This guy’s qi seemed absolutely endless.

Even any Pointing-to-Mystery expert would have been drained dry by now under such intense, long-lasting pressure from the array.

“Someone like you isn’t even worth my attention.”

Evan shook his head, looking at Victor Zhou: “Planning to avenge your disciple?”

Come on then—let’s see just how much strength this so-called Hong Kong grandmaster really has.

Evan’s words had barely fallen.

Off to the side, Grandmaster You Mingdao looked at Evan: “Just how much qi do you have? Victor Zhou is talking to you, the formation is draining your strength, and you’re still chatting like nothing’s wrong?”

“Seriously, you’ve got talent. How about considering this—”

“I won’t even say I want to take you as a disciple—someone like you would be too much for me to handle.”

“How about this: if you beat Victor Zhou, let’s become sworn brothers. What do you say?”

As he spoke, Grandmaster You looked at Evan, clearly not joking.

“Master?”

Beside him, You Han was stunned, shocked by his master’s words.

If Grandmaster You Mingdao and this Master Lin from Seacrest became sworn brothers, wouldn’t that make him call Evan ‘Uncle-Master’?!

You Han’s face changed instantly.

Over on the Bai clan’s side, Lucy Bai and the elder were equally stunned.

Everyone knew Grandmaster You Mingdao was eccentric, but no one expected him to propose becoming sworn brothers with Master Lin from Seacrest at a time like this.

“You Mingdao, are you crazy?!”

Victor Zhou’s expression was icy as he listened.

“I’m not crazy. If you’re weaker than him, he’s qualified to sit as my equal. So, becoming sworn brothers—what’s the harm?”

On the other hand, if you’re stronger and kill him, then everything I just said is meaningless, so it doesn’t count.”

Grandmaster You finished speaking and looked at Evan again.

“Not interested.”

Evan couldn’t be bothered with this guy.

He rejected him outright.

Grandmaster You Mingdao shrugged, not caring: “Alright then, you and Victor Zhou can start fighting.”

“Today was supposed to be the Dao-discussion day for me, Phoenix Bai, and Victor Zhou.”

“Whoever wins between you two can come discuss Dao on the summit.”

“Phoenix Bai, what do you think?”

Grandmaster You looked toward the enormous bronze coffin.

The coffin lid didn’t open.

“Fine.”

Two utterly emotionless words echoed in everyone’s ears, neither male nor female.

Evan heard this and swept a glance at the giant bronze coffin.

But the coffin remained silent, as if those two words were nothing but an illusion.

“Even so, let’s get started!”

Victor Zhou’s expression turned grim. His hands rapidly formed seals, shifting in midair.

“I don’t believe Master Lin from Seacrest can still fight after losing so much qi to the array!”

“I was going to wait for you to recover, so people wouldn’t say I bullied a weakened junior, but after today—after my disciple’s death and your disrespect—there’s no need for mercy!”

He stomped the ground fiercely.

Victor Zhou soared into the air, wild winds swirling around him.

Beneath his feet, a layer of white sword-light condensed, forming a rainbow arc.

Behind him, a phantom of his own figure appeared, sword in hand, standing like a god or demon between heaven and earth.

The phantom Victor grabbed the shining sword and stood tall in midair.

“Today, in the name of Hong Kong’s grandmaster, I’ll cut down Master Lin from Seacrest right here, in front of everyone!”

“Thunder rolls, divine might is mine!”

Victor Zhou’s voice boomed like a bell, echoing across all of Hong Kong.

“That’s Grandmaster Zhou!”

“He’s gigantic!”

“Grandmaster Zhou is really angry this time! That Master Lin from Seacrest is totally doomed!”

The crowd in Hong Kong stared at Victor Zhou’s distant figure, faces full of excitement and shock.

Victor Zhou stood tall, sword raised, and slashed horizontally.

One sword strike fell.

The sky above, filled with blazing fire-clouds Evan had created, was split cleanly in two, like a sunset torn apart.

The sky opened.

Clouds scattered.

Brilliant sunlight poured through.

“Grandmaster Zhou is amazing!”

“He cut apart the miracle Master Lin from Seacrest created with one sword!”

“No matter how strong Master Lin is, he can’t possibly be Grandmaster Zhou’s match.”

Everyone stared at the scene, faces full of amazement and awe.

“Now, on this mountain’s Dao-discussion platform, I’ll take your life.”

“Master Lin from Seacrest, do you have any last words?”
