Nine Nether Generals 2

"Yes, Your Majesty."

General Pink Feather turned around and respectfully knelt before Yuna Ji. I've seen this one before—she showed up when I was sparring with Yin Chou.

At this moment, Lao Chongyuan looked extremely uncomfortable. He clutched his shoulder, his entire arm glowing green. Suddenly, Lao Chongyuan's right hand swelled up; he pressed his left hand to his shoulder, a sizzling sound filled the air, and streams of green blood spurted out.

"So these are the Nine Wraith Generals? Heh, they sure are strong fighters!"

As Lao Chongyuan spoke, his right hand returned to normal, and he gave it a quick shake.

"Hmph, my generals could take on a hundred Blue Wraiths each without breaking a sweat."

Yuna Ji said this, and Lao Chongyuan nodded.

"What now, Ghost Fiend Star? Things are getting tricky. If I have to face all nine of these guys alone, it's going to be tough."

"Go ahead, make your move."

As Poison Dreadstar spoke, she suddenly raised a hand.

"Black Thorns..."

Suddenly, from the army in front of Yuna Ji, black thorns burst from the ground. In an instant, the entire formation split apart, opening a wide gap. Lao Chongyuan charged forward, his fists flying—there was a thunderous crash, and shattered white skulls and broken armor flew through the air.

General Pink Feather immediately rose, drew a crossbow, and fired a volley of bolts at the charging Lao Chongyuan.

The bolts whistled through the air, but Lao Chongyuan showed no fear. As they neared him, every arrow was snared by the rising black thorns from the ground.

In a flash, Lao Chongyuan punched General Pink Feather. With a crash, armor exploded and General Pink Feather was torn apart. Lao Chongyuan, his right fist charged for ages, struck at Yuna Ji.

"Is this really the best way?"

Yuna Ji spoke softly. Instantly, the scattered pieces of General Pink Feather reassembled, whole again, blocking Yuna Ji. She stretched out her arms and caught Lao Chongyuan's fist.

With a crash, General Pink Feather exploded once more. Lao Chongyuan's fist struck directly at Yuna Ji, but she showed no fear, reclining comfortably on the Bone Throne. The emerald green spear beside her remained untouched.

"Watch above."

Ghost Fiend Star shouted. A pitch-black shadow descended like a mountain. I saw two enormous black axes, engraved with runes, swinging down toward Lao Chongyuan.
