Launch the Decisive War

1/11/2026

Antarctica, blanketed in ice and snow, stretches endlessly beneath the dazzling light of polar day.

Even before the war, few ever set foot in Antarctica—let alone now, in this age of chaos. Demons, giant Demons, Specters, and Netherfiends rampage outside the borders of every nation, savage and merciless, able to slaughter any life that dares stray beyond human lands.

No one can survive here—except for those of the Law Realm.

Screeeeeee!!

A roar that seemed to pierce through the ages erupted from the depths beneath the pitch-black glacier—at once intimate and murderous as a lover’s whisper, yet wild and scornful beyond measure.

That roar echoed across more than a thousand li!

Not a thousand meters—but a thousand li, over five hundred kilometers of sheer terror!

A thousand li means more than five hundred kilometers—over two hundred thousand square kilometers! It may not sound vast at first, but consider this: out of Sinovera’s twenty-one provinces, most are smaller than two hundred thousand square kilometers.

Southridge Province covers 180,000 square kilometers, Anhui Province 130,000, and Southvale Province only 100,000!

Utterly terrifying!

A single roar, covering an area twice the size of Southvale Province!

As the eerie roar resounded from the depths of the glacier, countless bizarre Netherfiends—each with a different form—lifted their heads and howled to the sky, echoing the glacier’s voice.

Even an army of thousands here would be nothing but dust.

Even a tidal wave would pale in comparison.

Endless howls fused into a shockwave that swept across the region, staining Antarctica’s icy wilderness with a thick, violent gloom—chaotic, savage, and dark as night.

“Humans—”

“We are waiting for you!”

......

Riverford, Southvale Province, Andrew Han’s home.

Night was just falling. With temperatures rising and the war’s tension seemingly eased, the darkness felt neither cold nor lonely. Residents strolled through the neighborhood, chatting about trivial things.

Living room sofa.

Andrew Han and Monica Zhang sat together, holding hands, watching the government channel on the LCD TV.

The coffee table, made of solid wood and just the right size, was set with fruits and snacks. But neither of them ate any—everything went straight into little Lucy’s tummy.

The soft crunching sounds went on and on, never stopping.

Lucy, dressed in a red cotton coat, stood prettily beside the coffee table. Her big eyes sparkled as she grabbed nuts and popped them into her mouth, munching away with proud determination.

“Hmph, that’s what you get for ignoring Lucy.”

“I’ll eat, I’ll eat, I’ll keep eating... Lucy keeps on eating.” Lucy grumbled, her little head bobbing like a chick pecking at grain. When she finished off the dried nuts, she shot a sidelong glance at Andrew and Monica.

Lucy shook her long hair in annoyance.

She even felt a little wronged.

Men really do favor romance over everything... Mommy, where are you? Come see—my brother’s showing off his affection right in front of me!

Thinking it over, Lucy puffed out her cheeks and took a deep breath. Her little hands gripped the edge of the coffee table, her pitiful gaze constantly sneaking glances at her brother.

Silence. No response.

Only the sound of the TV filled the living room; the lighting was bright but not harsh.

Andrew didn’t look at Lucy, thinking that this little troublemaker needed more discipline, lest she become a little tyrant one day.

Monica tugged at Andrew’s hand.

“It’s alright.”

Andrew shot her a look. Kids are naturally energetic—too lively isn’t always a good thing, so a little restraint is necessary. Besides, this little one had already polished off all three plates of nuts Monica had brought.

As the saying goes, those who eat are soft-spoken, those who take are short-handed.

After three plates of nuts, what’s left to complain about?

Spoiling her is definitely not the way—Lucy Han is destined for the martial path... Ten minutes passed. Lucy’s face stayed tense, pretending to stare ahead, but in truth she kept sneaking glances at her brother Andrew, her gaze pitiful as ever.
