My eyes widened in shock as I stared at the Wraithlord. Xu Fu glanced at me, and I instantly withdrew my strength, letting out a sigh of helpless resignation.
"Is this what ultimate power feels like? Forget it."
I sank to the ground. Xu Fu's eyes were filled with confusion, but he hadn't noticed anything wrong yet. His hand gripped John Chou's so tightly, refusing to let go for even a moment.
The Wraithlord continued to stare at Xu Fu.
"What? I asked you to fight me, so why won't you?"
Xu Fu laughed quietly and shook his head.
I already know the outcome without needing to fight, Wraithlord. I am not your equal.
As Xu Fu spoke, the Wraithlord looked at him in confusion.
"Do you know who I am?"
"Of course we know. You are the Wraithlord."
The Wraithlord looked at Xu Fu in confusion, then stood up and burst into laughter.
"I'm nothing. I'm nobody."
After muttering to himself, the Wraithlord clutched his head, as if something had provoked him. Power surged through his body. With a whoosh, Xu Fu dragged John Chou past me, and I quickly followed them to get away from the Wraithlord.
Cracks appeared in the space again, unable to withstand the Wraithlord's power. The fissures kept forming and instantly healed, making the whole process look bizarre.
"It seems the Wraithlord's power is being used to repair the seal array of the space itself. It's quite ingenious, don't you think, John Chou?"
John Chou remained silent, staring at the Wraithlord charging at the pillar of light. With a boom, a mass of fierce energy burst through the pillar, exploding against the distant wall of the space and sending shockwaves throughout.
I must find a chance to separate Xu Fu and John Chou. John Chou's power is weak now. If Xu Fu really wanted, he could finish him off—especially since he doesn't have the Killing Stone on him. That's his biggest weakness.
Even if Xu Fu can't kill John Chou, if he goes all out, John Chou won't regain consciousness for a long time. His scattered ghost souls would slowly return to the Killing Stone and then gradually revive.
