Grace widened her eyes and chased after the flow of spiritual energy.
All of it surged toward an empty patch by the lakeside.
Then, it burrowed into the soil and disappeared.
"What the heck?!" Grace stared at that patch of ground.
Some soft little grasses were growing from the earth...

"Seriously?! What is this thing? Why is it sucking up all the spiritual energy in my Sanctum?" Grace yelled at it, eyes wide.
But this bean sprout was no ordinary sprout. The moment Grace shouted, it actually flinched, leaning backward, its leaves clamping together in fright.
The chubby leaves of the bean sprout even shook off a bit of black shell.
Seeing such a lively bean sprout, Grace was suddenly intrigued. She picked up the fallen black shell and examined it.
And then, she understood.
This was the Midnight Seed that had burrowed in from her forehead!

The bean sprout struggled fiercely in her hand. And as it struggled and struggled... it started to leak water!
Two sparkling droplets rolled off the bean sprout—just like tears!
