Euphoria Codex
"Ha! That guy's toast. No matter how cocky he was, he only lasted one swipe!" The gorgeous girl strolled up to Rainie Cheng, grinning as she spoke to the shell-shocked cop.
"Ah! You're Rachel Sasaki!? You—you won't kill me too, will you!?" Rainie Cheng recognized the beautiful young woman; they'd met briefly that night in the health club. But when Rachel Sasaki flashed that cold, gleaming blade in front of her, the chill was so intense that Rainie instinctively shuddered. Even though she barely knew Rachel Sasaki, seeing her kill someone so easily and then act so relaxed made it clear she was the sort who could kill without batting an eye!
"Huh? Of course not! Chill out, Officer Cheng, we're on the same team. Looks like my sword freaked you out, so let me cut you loose—and stow it away!" Rachel Sasaki giggled, flicked her long sword—"Whoosh!"—and in a flash, sliced the rope off Rainie's wrists. Then she whipped out a scabbard, tossed the blade in a perfect arc, and it landed dead center in the sheath. She wrapped it up in a black canvas bag and tucked it away.
Once she was free, Rainie Cheng shot over to Frank Falk's corpse and stomped hard right on the bulge in his pants, cursing as she kept stomping: "You sick creep, you perv! That's what you get for being so full of yourself! I'm smashing your nuts!"
Rachel Sasaki hadn't expected Rainie to go so wild, but after what she'd just been through, it made sense. Once Rainie finished venting and was gasping for breath, Rachel came over and said, "Alright, alright! You totally wrecked his junk! He's as dead as it gets. We still gotta clean up this mess!"
"Clean up the scene?! You—you killed him, but according to the law, he was just a major suspect who illegally crossed into Hong Kong. Normally, the police should have handled him. Now that he's dead, if the higher-ups investigate, this could get really messy!" Rainie Cheng frowned as she spoke.
"Heh—that's the police way. My way's way simpler. Since he's a big-time suspect, let's just make him a permanent missing person!" Rachel said with a mischievous grin.
"Uh—permanently missing person? You mean—bury him somewhere? Isn't that a bit risky? If someone finds the body and calls the police, it'll become a major homicide case! If the detectives start investigating, things will get really complicated!" As a police officer, Rainie naturally thought of all these practical issues.
"Heh—Officer Cheng, I get what you mean, but let me handle it! You'll soon see what 'permanently missing' really means!" Rachel Sasaki said with a laugh, pulling on a pair of black gloves. She then took a ceramic bottle from her waist pouch, walked over to Frank Falk's corpse, unscrewed the cap, and carefully poured the liquid onto the body!
"Sss—sss—sss—" Thick white smoke began to billow rapidly from Frank Falk's corpse. In moments, his body started to melt away as if it were a candle burning in a hot flame, dissolving at incredible speed. Even his clothes, bones, and blood turned into a pool of yellowish liquid!
"Ah—" Witnessing this horrifying scene, Rainie Cheng couldn't help but gape in terror, a chill running from her feet straight up to her head, making her whole body shiver!
"Heh—this stuff is the legendary Corpse-Melt Juice. It's perfect for wiping out evidence and making enemies vanish for good!" Rachel said with a casual smile to the stunned Rainie.
"Uh—Body-Melt Solution!! That's terrifying!" Rainie Cheng muttered, her eyes wide with panic as she looked at Rachel Sasaki. She couldn't help but feel a chill at the skill and ruthlessness of this beautiful young woman, who seemed to treat killing as an everyday affair.
"All done now—no evidence left, no trouble either. Heh, I'll carry Shawn Young. Officer Cheng, can you walk on your own?" Rachel Sasaki acted as if she hadn't noticed Rainie's frightened look, stepping forward to lift the unconscious Shawn Young onto her back, then asked Rainie without looking back.
"Oh, I—I'm fine, I can walk by myself!" Rainie Cheng stood up. Though the recent dangerous and terrifying events had left her in a daze, she was still a police officer with much stronger nerves than most people, so she managed to keep going. Still, Frank Falk's threats and Rachel Sasaki's gruesome disposal method had left her mind reeling.
"Heh—good, as long as you can walk! Let's go!" Rachel Sasaki said to her.
"Uh—well—I want to go back. My cousin and the other officers are still waiting for us at Kingwood Village!" Rainie Cheng suddenly remembered that Sergeant Mandy Chung and the rest of the Sham Shui Po police were anxiously waiting for news about her and Shawn Young.
"Uh—Officer Cheng, you saw it yourself. Shawn Young has exhausted his energy, and after taking several heavy blows from that bastard, he probably has serious internal injuries. The most important thing now is to help him recover quickly! Otherwise, his powers could be severely damaged!" Rachel Sasaki turned to Rainie Cheng and reminded her.
"Oh—I see! Then, let's split up! I'll go explain things to my cousin and the others, you take Shawn Young and leave first!" Rainie Cheng said hurriedly.
"Split up? Officer Cheng—you know how Shawn Young has to recover his powers, right? I'm not sure I can handle him by myself!" Rachel Sasaki said, her pretty face blushing for once.
"Uh—yeah! He really does need dual cultivation to recover! Wait—Rachel, are you saying you and he—" Rainie Cheng picked up on Rachel Sasaki's meaning instantly.
"Mhm, totally! I've hooked up with him. Honestly, I didn't want to at first, but that guy's kung fu is insane! I couldn't beat him, and he totally forced himself on me. Then he whipped out his naughty dual cultivation moves, and, sigh—Officer Cheng, you know how it is. Once you've dual cultivated with him, it's so addictive you can't quit! So now I'm stuck with him." Rachel didn't hold back, blushing but coming clean.
"Mm—sigh—this guy—I really don't know what to say! Whatever, as long as he can recover, I'll do whatever it takes!" Rainie Cheng replied, not too surprised, since she always knew Shawn Young wasn't a normal guy and would have plenty of women chasing after him. Still, she was a bit surprised he could win over someone as cold and deadly as Rachel Sasaki.
"Heh—Officer Cheng, now you get why we're on the same team! We're all Shawn Young's girls! At least he's got the goods to win over women like us, and honestly, I'm happy to stick with him. Since we're all in this together, and you're a bit older, I'll call you Sis Rainie!" Rachel said sweetly.
"Oh—Nice to meet you, Rachel! Don't worry, since we're all on the same side, I'll never breathe a word about Frank Falk. As of now, he's officially a permanent missing person—" Rainie replied, quick to accept Rachel and lay down her stance.
