Citywide Slaughter

1/11/2026

The sudden disturbance at the city gate quickly alerted the City Guard.

Three hundred City Guards rushed over, blades drawn, surrounding the ten fiends.

"Take them down—dead or alive!" the leading officer barked.

These ten fiends hadn't bothered with explanations—they'd killed all the gate guards and dozens of civilians. So, at the officer's order, the hundreds of guards swung their weapons at the ten fiends, holding nothing back.

But.

In the very next instant—

The ten fiends moved. Ten curved sabers, gleaming with an eerie light, flashed out—slicing across the necks of the City Guards like lightning.

Wherever the blades passed, heads flew.

In less than ten breaths, all three hundred City Guards had been decapitated.

Seeing this, the sole surviving City Guard captain turned ashen. He let out a miserable scream and tried to flee.

Splurt!

An eerie blade flashed through the air, and the City Guard captain, just two steps into his escape, was suddenly split in half. His innards spilled out—a scene of utter blood and cruelty.

There were quite a few city residents watching the commotion nearby.

Seeing hundreds of City Guards slaughtered in an instant, the onlookers were nearly petrified with fear, frozen in place as their bodies trembled uncontrollably.

Suddenly, one of the ten fiends raised his head. On his deathly pale face, a pair of blood-red, pupil-less eyes stared out.

Yet the city residents could sense only coldness, ruthlessness, and bloodlust in those eyes.

Kill!

With a raspy syllable, the fiend transformed into a streak of black shadow, shooting forward.

Aaaaaah!

Amidst the screams, the surrounding city residents were slaughtered to the last.

An hour later, the ten fiends, their bodies bathed in a bloody glow, walked out of the small city—inside, not a single living person remained.

Corpses were strewn everywhere, blood flowed unchecked; the place had become a city of death.

East Domain, inside the Dragon Cage Grand Formation.

Invincible Yan had already given up trying to break the formation. Over the past three days, he’d tried countless methods, but still couldn’t escape the world of white mist enveloping him.

A shadow flickered—Raymond Lei’s figure appeared once again.

"How is it, Brother Yan? I didn’t lie to you, did I?" Raymond Lei said with a cheerful grin.

Invincible Yan’s eyes flashed with disgust and hatred as he looked at Raymond. "Brother Lei, if not for this formation, you wouldn’t be my match at all!"

"Brother Yan, what’s the point in saying that now? A loss is a loss. You’ve already been defeated, you just can’t accept it. Fine, I’ll give you a bit more time to think it over!" With that, Raymond vanished again.

As for the soldiers trapped inside the formation, after three days and nights without food or water, each one was dizzy with hunger—almost all had lost the will to fight. Even the commanding officers hung their heads, completely dispirited and defeated.

"Little Song, at most two more days and we’ll be able to take these two million elite troops without shedding a drop of blood! If they surrender, our strength will double!" Raymond Lei said excitedly to Ian Song.

Ian Song nodded with a smile. If they took these two million-plus soldiers, the entire situation in the world would be rewritten—and the Military Council Elite Army would lose its former deterrent power.

But just then, Ian’s expression suddenly changed.

He had just received a mental transmission from Huang Yan: today, three cities in the South Domain had been massacred, not a single survivor left. The combined death toll of City Guards and civilians had reached a terrifying six million, and dozens of villages had also been wiped out.

In other words, in just one day, over six million people had died in the South Domain.

As of now, the identity of the killer remained unknown!

Seeing Ian’s sudden change in expression, Raymond Lei couldn’t help but ask, "Little Huang, what’s going on…?"

Ian’s face was grim as he said, "I just got word—something’s happened in the South Domain. More than six million people are dead!"

What?!

Raymond Lei cried out in shock, "Who did it?"

"We don’t know yet!" Ian shook his head. "But no matter who it is, I’ll make them pay a terrible price!"

Just then—

A middle-aged woman hurried into the command tent, her face anxious. It was Elder Wang from Heavenly Melody Sect.

"Greetings, Young Master. Greetings, Commander Lei!"

"No need for formalities, Elder Wang!" Ian Song raised his hand.

Elder Wang’s voice was grave. "Young Master, something terrible has happened. Within our East Domain, a medium-sized city has been massacred—not a single survivor. The death toll has reached ten million!"

A city massacre has struck the East Domain as well!

Ian Song and Raymond Lei exchanged glances, both seeing the fury and killing intent in each other’s eyes.

"Have you found out who did it?" Ian asked coldly.

Elder Wang continued, "Reporting to Young Master, the killers are ten fiends. Strangely, none of them have pupils in their eyes. What’s more, their cultivation is terrifyingly high—we sent three Martial Saints to kill them, but all three were slain!"

"Where are they now?" Ian asked in a chilling voice.

"They’re currently in Spiritblossom State, heading straight for Swallowhaven City. Swallowhaven is likely their next target for a massacre!"

"Alright, I understand. Leave this matter to me!"

With those words, Ian Song’s figure vanished from the spot.

On a small mountain in Spiritblossom State, twenty-one figures suddenly appeared.

Ian Song stood at the front, with twenty bronze-masked Martial Saints behind him—twelve of them were his newly enslaved Military Council Martial Saints.

Several thousand meters away, ten black-robed fiends, their bodies faintly glowing with blood-light, were striding rapidly toward them.

Suddenly, the lead fiend looked up at the mountain. Even across several thousand meters, Ian could feel the icy, cruel, bloodthirsty malice radiating from those pupil-less eyes.

"Kill. Leave none alive!"

With a heavy wave of his hand, the twenty Martial Saints behind him shot forward, charging straight at the ten fiends.

Twenty Martial Saints attacking at once—the scene was nothing short of spectacular.

Waves of energy in every color exploded across the battlefield, turning everything within several li into a deadly zone.

Bang!

The next moment, a figure was sent flying, crashing hundreds of meters away. He spat out mouthfuls of blood, his mask shattering layer by layer. His face was filled with disbelief—just now, he’d clearly stabbed his sword into the fiend’s chest, and the sword-qi within was enough to pulverize the foe’s internal organs. He could even sense the fiend’s insides being shredded to mush.

Logically, with all the organs destroyed, the fiend should have died. But defying all reason, not only was the fiend unharmed, he’d even sent the Martial Saint flying with a punch.

In a flash, Ian Song appeared before Gavin Huangpu, casting a Radiance of Life into his body. In just a few seconds, Gavin’s battered form was completely healed—yes, the Martial Saint who’d been sent flying was Gavin Huangpu.

Ah!

Just then, a scream rang out from the battlefield. Ian looked up and saw a head flying through the air.

It wasn’t a fiend’s head—it was one of the newly enslaved Martial Saints.

The fiend who killed him had a fist-sized bloody hole in his lower abdomen, but under Ian’s gaze, flesh and blood surged rapidly, and the lethal wound vanished as if it had never existed!
