I glanced around. My hands, feet, and neck were all bound by chains—Oblivion Chains, conjured by Entity 001 out of thin air. They looked ordinary, but once placed on me, I could feel their touch but not a single ounce of weight.
The chains were about ten meters long. I could still move freely, but escaping any further was impossible. The worst part was that I was completely powerless now.
"What did you do to me?"
Entity 001 placed her hand on my furry head and patted it.
"Whether it's a human or a ghost, every soul has its own mass. If you control and alter that mass, you can create anything you want. You've seen it, right? Everything here is trash—soulless, dead no matter how I manipulate it. But you're different."
I stared blankly at Entity 001. She giggled, then leaned back; instantly, a long bench covered in dark purple-black flowers—the Dusky Bloom Bench—appeared beneath her. She lounged comfortably, yawned, glanced at me, and suddenly blushed, squeezing her legs together.
"Enjoying the view, you pervert?"
I let out a sound of surprise and blinked. Honestly, I felt nothing at all toward any of this. Entity 001 seemed to notice, got up, bent over and leaned in, pressing her hands against my furry cheeks.
"That's odd. You clearly have a soul, so why aren't you reacting at all?"
I sneered at Entity 001.
I've long since lost all feelings.
Entity 001 looked even more surprised, then knocked on my head a couple of times.
But you don't seem like stone. Ghosts afflicted by Deathblight usually turn to stone.
I couldn't believe Entity 001 actually knew all this. She seemed to see right through me—everything inside.
I said nothing and chose silence.
Say something! What, are you mute now?
No matter how much Entity 001 asked or insisted, I didn't say a word.
Alright, alright, don't be mad. I'll treat you well, as long as you behave.
With a smack, I brushed aside Entity 001's reaching hand, my eyes never leaving the Violet Heart Pendant.
