Chapter 678: Mana Seed
By the Mana Pool, the mist in the air constantly condensed into droplets that fell to the ground. These tiny streams gathered together, all flowing into the Mana Pool.
Leon walked over and took a single breath. His Mana Harness whirred to life, and a torrent of mana surged into his body like a whirlwind. The vast amount of mana he had spent earlier was completely restored in that single breath.
It even felt as if the mana outside was trying to force its way into his body.
Even the others, without meditating, found their mana slowly recovering here.
Cyrus Watson stared wide-eyed at the Mana Pool before him, his hands trembling. He had lost all his mana, yet standing here, he could still feel the thick, almost suffocating mana in the air.
In all his years, he had never seen a place so saturated with mana. Above the Mana Pool, a blanket of mist hung in the air, as if it was always raining a fine drizzle.
You could even see it with the naked eye—endless mana converging here, condensing into mist, then into liquid mana that fell down again.
Within the clear Mana Pool, countless Mana Crystals had formed, densely packed together.
Cyrus Watson was trembling all over. In a place like this, he truly had a chance to recover his mana!
Because now he was just an ordinary person, yet here he could clearly sense the flow of mana—proof enough!
"Go ahead, Archmage Cyrus Watson, sit by the Mana Pool, but do not go in. You're just an ordinary person now, and you might burst from the mana!"
Leon said this seriously, and Cyrus Watson nodded in deep agreement.
The mana here was so dense that, just standing by the pool, he could feel it seeping into his body. If he jumped in, the sheer amount of mana would surely make him explode.
Cyrus Watson hurried to sit by the Mana Pool, closed his eyes, and tried to sense and absorb the mana. He thought Leon's method was just this: relying on an environment so saturated with mana to stimulate its return.
But in the next moment, Leon took a gentle breath, and his spirit surged out like a storm. The entire demi-plane trembled under the force of Leon's mental tempest.
Leon's consciousness flooded the demi-plane, triggering a dramatic transformation. At the edges, the land rapidly expanded, new earth condensed, and the ground grew thicker and stronger.
Sprouts burst from the soil, instantly growing into green shoots, and within seconds, they shot up into towering trees over ten meters tall, as if decades had passed in an instant.
At the center of the demi-plane, the earth seemed to come alive, rising swiftly as mountains erupted from the ground, transforming into peaks hundreds of meters high with thunderous roars.
By the Mana Pool, the thick Mana Vine twisted and grew, swelling to over ten meters wide before bursting apart into hundreds of thinner vines. These Mana Vines rooted themselves in the demi-plane, with their other ends piercing the void, drawing vast amounts of mana from it into the demi-plane.
The fine drizzle above the Mana Pool turned into a torrential downpour, a rain of mana pouring into the pool and causing its contents to swell at a rate visible to the naked eye.
Yet the mana within the pool did not overflow. Instead, as the demi-plane underwent its transformation, the pool grew deeper and deeper. Where Mana Crystals were once visible at the bottom, they now sank out of sight—the Mana Pool's depth had become unfathomable.
The dramatic changes in the demi-plane made Cyrus Watson open his eyes. Witnessing this, his eyes nearly popped out of his head.
A natural semi-plane!
And it's a natural semi-plane that Merlin can control!
Cyrus Watson's heart trembled. He had thought this was just an ordinary demi-plane, one that the lucky Leon stumbled upon. Who could have guessed it was a natural semi-plane, and it looked like it had been cultivated for quite some time.
A mature, developed natural semi-plane—even possessing all Four Elemental Laws. Its value was immeasurable!
In the Watson Family, Seth had read plenty about natural semi-planes. They were far superior to ordinary demi-planes or even those opened by top-tier mages. Some speculate that, without the limitations of artificial demi-planes, a natural semi-plane can keep growing indefinitely.
Given the right conditions, it might even grow into a true world.
And now, Merlin could already control this natural semi-plane...
Damn it, when I get back, I have to—no, I must make those idiots in the family wake up. Don't ruin things with the Merlin Family over petty interests!
Leon Merlin is terrifying—far more so than that formidable ancestor of the Merlin Family. He hasn't even reached Title Archmage, yet already possesses the power of an Eighth Rank Title Archmage. Now he's about to break through, and when he does, his strength will rival that of a Ninth Rank Title Archmage!
With his talent, the chance of reaching Sky Rank is incredibly high. If a Sky Rank mage doesn't intervene, no one will be able to kill him. And now, with this natural semi-plane, if the Merlin Family is truly offended, once Leon Merlin reaches Sky Rank...
Thinking of this, Cyrus Watson couldn't help but shiver.
It's best not to imagine it. And don't be fooled by how easygoing Leon Merlin seems—when it comes to action, he's anything but soft.
Cyrus Watson was lost in terrifying speculation, feeling worse by the second.
Leon, on the other hand, felt great. For the first time, he was channeling the power of the demi-plane, and the results were unexpectedly good.

Earlier, just a single breath restored his mana and pushed it even higher, directly reaching the peak of Ninth Rank Archmage. Now, suppressing the urge to break through, if he relaxed even a little, he might instantly ascend to Title Archmage.
Fusing the Void Furnace Codex into the Spellbook of Ages yielded astonishing results. In silence, he broke through to Ninth Rank Archmage. With the power of a Ninth Rank Archmage, three core meditation laws, and his Mana Harness, he could draw on more of the demi-plane's power than he ever imagined.
With the rapid development of the demi-plane, all Four Elemental Laws were now present. Leon's control over the demi-plane had grown significantly.
Putting everything together, Leon could truly begin to control this natural semi-plane. Though he could only manage a small part of it, that was already incredibly powerful.
He could now influence the growth of the demi-plane through this small portion. The mountains rising in its center were the result of Leon's control. He could even accelerate its natural development, spurring the demi-plane to grow faster.
Leon controlled the power of the demi-plane, keeping the surrounding mana from flooding into his body, while also using its strength to suppress the urge to break through.
As Leon manipulated the energies, Cyrus Watson, who was staring blankly at the dramatic changes, was so stunned he was numb.
A boiling vortex of mana rose from the Mana Pool, shooting toward Cyrus Watson.
A flood of mana surged into Cyrus Watson's body, rushing in like a mighty river. Yet, contrary to his fears, the overwhelming mana did not burst him apart.
This vast mana, far beyond what he could normally withstand, swept through him without causing any harm. That sensation of holding immense magical power returned—Cyrus Watson's face lit up with joy, his eyes growing wet.
More and more mana poured into Cyrus Watson, the liquid mana washing through his body again and again.
But when Cyrus Watson felt the mana had gathered to a certain extent, it suddenly slipped away from his body.
The mana that flowed out returned to the Mana Pool, yet even more surged forth from the pool, flooding into his body.
Cyrus Watson understood: now that he was just an ordinary person, the only reason this mana wasn't tearing him apart was because Leon was controlling it. He had no hope of keeping any mana for himself.
Cyrus Watson didn't dare speak or disturb Leon. He simply sat quietly, seizing the chance to try sensing the mana.
Vast mana poured into his body—such a clear sensation that anyone not dead could feel it.
Wave after wave of mana washed through Cyrus Watson, the amount consumed each time astronomical. But here, mana was the one thing that was never in short supply...
That limit was set by Leon's control.
Channeling the power of the demi-plane put a huge strain on Leon. The longer he kept it up, the harder it became, and soon sweat began to bead on his forehead.
His clothes were soaked—whether by the surrounding mist or his own sweat, it was impossible to tell.
Wave after wave of mana, Leon's face grew paler and paler. It was becoming extremely difficult to maintain control.
Seeing Leon's condition, Cyrus Watson's eyes stung and his heart was overwhelmed with emotion. He resolved that even if he couldn't recover, he would always remember this favor from Leon.
Time ticked by. After more than half an hour, a faint glimmer of light appeared within Cyrus Watson.
It was so subtle it could easily be missed, but to Cyrus Watson, it was brighter than the sun itself.
That faint ripple of mana was nothing compared to the surrounding flood, but Cyrus Watson's heart thudded in time with it.
"Mana Seed!"
Cyrus Watson screamed at the top of his lungs, his voice hoarse and wild, as if he had lost all control, shrieking the words.
