Headmaster's Personal Disciple

"Your Highness, Grace is now a high-level Spirit Master. There aren't many people who could take her on down here," Leon Zane said. "Plus, Shannon is with her! And her master, Jun Lionhead, is no pushover either. Seriously, you don't have to worry so much!"

"Enough with the chatter. Seal it," Evan Xiao said.

"Fine, I'll seal it... But what is Grace even up to?" Leon Zane muttered as he sealed Evan's acupoint. "She's really putting His Highness through the wringer..."

...

After Grace finished eating, she glanced at the thick fog and said, "Why don't we fly toward the densest part? Maybe we'll just stumble our way out!"

Ray nodded and said, "Sure! I can sense something unusual over there, so let me lead the way!"

"Sounds good!" Grace replied. After all, Ray was a dragon—she trusted his sense of direction way more than her own.

So, she set off again, flying straight toward the thickest part of the mist.

This time, Ray was in charge of navigation.

It didn't take long before everything suddenly brightened—they'd actually flown out of the fog!

Before them stood a massive mountain, dotted with many buildings and suspension bridges connecting to other peaks. The whole scene looked grand and majestic.

"Wonderful, we've finally reached somewhere people live!" Grace perked up. "Let's go ask for directions."

No sooner had she spoken than several streaks of light shot toward them.

Two of them struck the flying eagle, and the poor creature fell straight to the ground, dead.

Although Grace was now a Fifth-Rank Spirit Master, she still couldn't cross the sky unaided.

She started falling as well.

But with Ray there, she wasn't going to die from the fall.

Ray caught her and gently lowered her to the ground.

Two middle-aged men surrounded her, both drawing their swords and demanding fiercely, "Who dares to barge into the Sigil Sect?"

"Sigil Sect? Is this really the Sigil Sect?" Grace's eyes lit up.

"That's right. Who are you?"

"I'm here to find my aunt! But I got lost in the mountains and somehow ended up here." Grace explained.

"Who's your aunt?"

"She's a disciple of your Sigil Sect. Her name is Maya Summers," Grace said.

"Maya Summers?" Their tone became noticeably more polite. "Which Maya Summers?"

Could there really be more than one Maya Summers here?

Grace said, "She's about as tall as I am, very pretty, and only joined the sect less than a year ago. She brought a crazy old man with her when she arrived."

Their tone softened even more. "In that case, come with us!"

They led Grace across a long iron suspension bridge.

Then they brought her to a guest room, offered her tea, and said, "Please wait here. We'll go call the senior disciple."

"Senior disciple?" Grace thought these two men looked fairly old—how could their rank be so low? They were actually calling Maya Summers, who'd only just joined, 'senior disciple'?

"She's the headmaster's newest personal disciple, so her rank is very high." The man noticed Grace's confusion and explained with a smile.

"The headmaster's personal disciple?" Grace's eyes lit up.

"That's right! Senior Maya has incredible talent—the headmaster is very fond of her, so he accepted her as his personal disciple."

"Thank you so much," Grace said happily.

The man went to call Maya Summers, and before long, she arrived.

When she saw Grace, Maya Summers hugged her tightly. "What are you doing here?"

Grace winked at her.

She asked the two junior disciples to leave them alone.

The aunt and niece chatted privately, and only then did Maya Summers understand what was going on.
