Zack Guang was quickly helped away by members of the Moore family.
Now that he was closer, everyone could see clearly—Zack Guang was covered in wounds, as if slashed by sharp weapons. Cuts and gashes everywhere, flesh torn open, some injuries were downright disturbing.
"This one has failed. Who wants to try next?"
Once Zack Guang was carried off, Bob Moore looked at the remaining three.
Before Drake Yu or Evan Lin could speak—
The most muscular of the group, Warren Wang, had already stepped forward.
"I'll go! I'm honestly curious—what's inside anyway? I want to see if whatever's in there can handle a beating from me!"
Warren Wang laughed heartily and strode into the woods with big, confident steps.
"Be careful. If anything weird happens, get out quick."
Zane Wang, standing nearby, couldn’t help but remind him.
Warren Wang soon disappeared at the far end of everyone's view.
Many people have entered these woods before, but few made it out alive. The longest anyone ever lasted was three whole days—he managed to leave in one piece, but still couldn't take that sword.
Bob Moore grinned, switching gears as he started spinning the story like it was some old-school campus legend.
"Drake, do you know who that person was?"
He left the question hanging and looked at Drake Yu.
A bunch of people leaned in, hoping to catch some juicy gossip.
"Was it my master, Sword Master Jianan?"
Drake Yu pondered for a moment and asked.
Sword Master Jianan was a legendary master who dominated Jinnan decades ago. Word was he could kill with a sword from a mile away, his moves were straight-up mystical and unmatched. Later, he went into seclusion at the Southriver Sword Sect, barely showed his face, and eventually faded from the rumor mill.
When Drake Yu mentioned that name, most people looked confused—only a few who were better informed showed real admiration.
Probably only someone like that could survive three days in these woods.
But Bob Moore just shook his head. "Not your master, Sword Master Jianan. It was another legend entirely."
That man conquered the world with his fists. From the moment he started out, he fought countless Vajras head‑on, challenging and smashing through like a madman. His strength far outclassed anyone at his level.
He hit a bottleneck, ran out of worthy opponents, and decided to enter the Moore family's woods to seek a breakthrough. Three days later, he left without the sword, but gained enlightenment—and vanished from the world, probably to go into life-or-death seclusion.
At this, Bob Moore sighed softly and fell silent for a moment, as if still lost in memories of that man's glory days.
Nearby, Martin Mu's expression changed slightly, as if he'd thought of someone.
"Are you talking about Mo Yang?"
Drake Yu frowned, waited a bit, then finally spoke up.
Mo Yang!
Hearing that name, Evan Lin glanced over.
That's right—it was the strongest Vajra of his era, Master Mo Yang. He once came here to seek a breakthrough, entered the woods for three whole days, and then left the Moore family, vanishing without a trace. His record was terrifying: just the fact that he battled seven Vajras in a row was enough to make anyone's blood run cold.
Bob Moore spoke with deep reverence, full of awe and respect.
Drake Yu snorted. "My master always said he only lost to Mo Yang 'cause he slipped up. If they threw down again, he'd pin Mo Yang under his sword for sure!"
Mo Yang's been gone for years—who knows if he's even alive? If he shows up, I won't wait for my master to act. I'll give it everything I've got and see if he's really that impressive!"
Drake Yu's voice was firm and arrogant, brimming with fighting spirit.
Bob Moore and Martin Mu couldn't help but praise him for such words.
That's how young men should be—daring and a little wild.
Victor Moore hadn't said much since Evan Lin showed up. He kept glancing at Evan's face, trying to see through him, but no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't figure him out.
Now, Victor Moore was hoping that when Evan Lin entered the woods, he'd die in there!
Even if he made it out alive, he'd have to fight Drake Yu. By then, badly wounded and forced into a duel, it'd be a toss-up whether he lived or died.
