The Transaction Between John Chou and Quentin Henderson 7

"Please tell the Hell Judges that I will wait at most three days, in Yuna Ji's Netherhell."

The three Hell Judges had already left. They would persuade the Marshals chasing us. We departed from Falling Stone City and now had to return to Yuna Ji's Netherhell. The only way was to cross this wasteland, head toward the mountains at its edge, and climb over to reach the River of Oblivion—on the other side lay Yuna Ji's domain.

We returned to the small town we’d left behind. Many of the scattered ghosts had gradually come back. We were still waiting. Not far from us, there was a heavy presence of Underworld Court energy—the Hell Judges had already gone ahead.

"I never thought I’d hear such shocking things on this trip. John Chou, what are you really thinking—planning to cooperate with the Underworld Court? For us, being so close to Netherhell, if we join forces with those three from Old Hell, and if the Underworld Court helps us take it, that’s absolutely to our advantage, isn’t it?"

Jerry Li stared intently at John Chou, who smiled and raised his glass for a sip. Allen Zhang nodded beside him.

"I feel the same way."

I quietly watched John Chou. This was indeed a tremendous opportunity for the Ghost Sovereigns. After all, the Underworld Court’s attitude toward them hadn’t changed—they would eventually seize a chance to wipe them out. Such a rare opportunity was right before us, but perhaps John Chou foresaw or considered something else, which is why he chose to cooperate with the Underworld Court.

"Can you tell us, John Chou, why cooperate with the Underworld Court?"

Allen Zhang was getting restless. John Chou nodded.

"Of course I can tell you. Based on the current pros and cons, it’s true that cooperating with Old Hell is more beneficial. But while we can work with them today, the moment we take the Underworld Court, will be the day we are destroyed."
