"Jade, Mandy, I'm here to help you!"
With a soft shout, Greenie's body shot forward, landing beside the two blue-clothed girls.
"Greenie, did you take care of that guy?" Jade asked happily. She and Mandy had been tangled up with the Golden Howler and couldn't spare any attention to watch Ian and Greenie's fight, so they assumed Greenie had already killed Ian.
"That's right. I've already sealed his cultivation. Once we deal with this Golden Howler, I'll take my time with him!" Greenie replied with a smile.
Jade said happily, "That's great! This Golden Howler is way too fast. Even with Mandy and me working together, we can't handle it. But with the three of us, we should be fine."
"Definitely no problem," Greenie agreed.
For some reason, Jade felt something strange in Greenie's voice.
The next instant—
"Bang! Bang!"
Two palms landed simultaneously on Jade and Mandy's backs. The two girls flew out like kites with broken strings, crashing seven or eight meters away and coughing up blood several times. Their faces instantly turned pale and weak.
"Greenie, why did you betray the princess?"
Jade and Mandy stared at Greenie in disbelief. There was no one else nearby—only Greenie. So they knew it was her who had ambushed them.
Greenie chuckled, "You’re both mistaken. I, Greenie, will always be loyal only to my master." She looked smug, showing not the slightest guilt for injuring her close sisters.
Seeing this, Ian shook his head inwardly. The Puppet Mastery Divine Art had enslaved Greenie's soul, but her memories and emotions remained. Now, after injuring Jade and Mandy, she was actually proud of herself. Clearly, this woman was born cold and heartless.
"Who is your master?"
Hearing this, Jade and Mandy looked even more shocked. They’d grown up with the princess and knew Greenie inside out. If Greenie had pledged herself to another master, the princess would have found out—so how had she missed it?
"I am her master."
At that moment, Ian strode over, eyeing the two seriously wounded girls with playful interest.
"You... How did you know?" Mandy asked, bewildered.
"You'll find out soon enough!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ian moved in front of the two girls and pressed Puppet Mastery sigils into their brows.
Two seconds later, the girls bowed with complicated expressions:
"Jade greets her master."
"Mandy greets her master."
After being enslaved by Ian, they understood how Greenie had ended up serving a new master.
"The three of you, tell me everything you know. Skip the nonsense and get to the point."
At Ian’s order, the three girls began to speak one after another. Soon, Ian pieced together the princess’s true identity and her reason for infiltrating Sanctum Martial Academy.
The princess was Serena Fox, the Seventh Princess of the Fox-Demon Lineage.
The Demon Race is divided into three main branches: avian, land-beast, and sea clans.
All three are nominally part of the Demon Race, but they don’t get along—in fact, they often fight. Whether it’s the Sea-Demon Clan, Avian Demons, or Land-Beast Demons, each wants to unify the Demon Race and become the Demon Emperor.
