Chapter 637: The Password

Leon carefully sensed the surroundings. There was not a trace of mana left in this cabin. Above his head, a powerful, solidified illumination spell was surrounded by a simple alchemical array, whose sole purpose was to draw mana from the air to fuel the spell.

The crystal was now dull and lifeless. By his estimation, the mana stored inside should have been enough to sustain the illumination spell for a thousand years. Yet even the crystal's reserves were nearly depleted, meaning this place had been without mana for at least four or five centuries.

But Mana Ivy needed mana to grow, even if only a tiny amount!

In Northend, you could find it anywhere, as common as weeds.

But its presence here was anything but normal.

After unraveling a spatial distortion, Leon keenly detected something off. There was still a faint trace of mana here—so little that even a single Mana Ivy couldn't survive, but it proved there was some!

A sealed cabin that's been devoid of mana for centuries, yet somewhere inside, mana has been leaking out for hundreds of years—how could that be normal?

He once again waved the Crystal Quill and began to write. Soon, the space ahead twisted, and in the same spot, another layer of spatial distortion was broken.

Most noticeably, the area in front of him, originally just over a meter wide, had expanded to more than two meters!
