The World Will Not Always Take Me as Its Peak

On the other end of the call, Yvette Ye's voice was a little low, tinged with worry.

"Just got the news—someone from the Upper-Grade Lin Clan is planning to go out these days."

"Normally, people from the Upper-Grade Lin Clan never leave home. Every time they do, they need a major reason."

"Last time, it was Blake Lin heading to Beijing for the Youth Divine Challenge—taking on top experts to fight his way onto the China Divine Ranking and battle Azure Dragon."

"But this time, I'm afraid their target is you."

As Yvette spoke, you could hear the wind on her side of the line.

"They're coming for me?"

Evan Lin listened to Yvette, then replied calmly, "If they want to come, let them come."

"Just as well. I need to settle the score with them anyway."

Hearing Evan speak so simply.

Yvette, over there, was clearly even more dissatisfied: "You really don't understand what the Upper-Grade Lin Clan means in this world."

"Seriously, Evan, I know you're incredibly strong—even close to breaking through Pointing-to-Mystery Realm and stepping into Heavenly Phenomenon."

"But even so, you can't possibly be a match for the entire Upper-Grade Lin Clan."

After a few words, Yvette's tone grew urgent. She took a deep breath, then slowly said, "Azure Dragon told me to warn you: for the next while, you'd better not go to Beijing."

"Last time you defeated Blake Lin, sure, but he wasn't fighting at full strength in that state."

Yvette kept urging Evan over the phone, but after a while, she realized she couldn't hear his response: "Hey?"

"Are you even listening?"

Evan answered with a single word.

Hearing this, Yvette finally relaxed: "Last time, you had Azure Dragon backing you, plus my help—that's the only reason you were safe."
