Madness Mirrors My Life

Inside Southridge Sect.

This is a Martial Arts Sect located in Southridge Province, a local overlord that commands martial power and stands tall and unshakable on this land.

No one truly knows.

Just how dark this place truly is.

Even the martial artists and Gifted who have come as guests are unaware; they are currently gathered in Southridge Sect’s enormous reception hall, drinking and feasting, enjoying themselves without a care.

Among them—

Gavin Bai is all smiles, while the newly awakened Gifted, Eric Bai and Raine Bai, sit beside their uncle Gavin, nervously glancing at the sect master and elders of Southridge Sect.

“Terrifying.”

“It’s too terrifying. So this is the true mysterious world of Sinovera.” Eric Bai’s face was blank with shock.

To the left—

The beautiful, cold Raine Bai, her long legs clad in black stockings, said, “Brother, stop making such a fuss. Last month, we witnessed the awe-inspiring power of a Peerless Paragon harnessing the forces of heaven and earth. In my view, the sect master of Southridge Sect is only slightly stronger than Andrew Han; the gap isn’t as huge as you think.”

“No, no, no.”

Eric Bai shook his head.

In his eyes, this was a Martial Arts Sect.

And the sect master seated at the head, Keaton Nan, dressed in a pure crimson ancient-style robe like molten lava, radiated a mysterious authority and seemed far stronger than Andrew Han.

“Sect Master Nan is truly a great man, his presence is extraordinary.”

Eric Bai sighed quietly, his gaze toward Keaton Nan filled with reverence.

“Hmph.”

Raine Bai shifted her legs, just about to speak.

“Silence!” Uncle Gavin Bai transmitted in a grave tone, “This is Southridge Sect. You two aren’t yet strong enough to use true Gifted voice transmission, and you dare discuss such matters here? If you’re not afraid of death, I certainly am.”

"Also..."

"Keaton Nan is a martial artist officially listed in Sinovera's national title ranking system; of course he is much stronger than Andrew Han."

At these words,

Raine Bai froze.

Her brother Eric Bai glanced at his sister, feeling a surge of discontent: Ha, see? Even Uncle agrees with me.

In truth, Eric Bai bore no ill will toward Andrew Han; it was just that Raine Bai had mentioned his name so often lately that Eric felt a strange, sour, and bitter emotion welling up inside.

"Hmph."

Raine Bai snorted, crossing her arms and lifting her impressive chest.

Beside them,

Uncle Gavin Bai shook his head helplessly. "Stop discussing these things. In Southridge Sect’s eyes, not only us three, but even all the Gifted in Southridge Province are mere mud-dogs and clay chickens—utterly insignificant."

"Hiss!"

Raine Bai and Eric Bai realized just how terrifying Southridge Sect truly was, and both inhaled sharply.

"Hiss!" "Hiss!" "Hiss!"

At the same time, every martial artist and Gifted at or above the Martial General Realm drew in a cold breath, their minds shaken as they stood up and looked toward the main hall’s entrance.

What’s happening?

It’s one thing for us to be shocked, but you all too?

Raine Bai and Eric Bai were instantly bewildered—they certainly couldn’t sense what the others did—

At the Southridge Sect’s main gate, about three hundred meters from the reception hall, an incomparably fierce aura suddenly erupted, its pressure echoing across the land and leaving everyone inside the hall stunned and speechless.

"What’s going on?"

Raine Bai looked toward her uncle Gavin Bai.
