Vivian Fang spoke slowly, recalling a past event: "Warren Hu is Yvonne's second uncle, her late father Martin Hu's only brother. Ten years ago, Yvonne's father made a terrible mistake and got involved with a bad woman. I fought him for half a year over the divorce, and in the end, he agreed to my terms so he could keep seeing her. My condition was that I would raise Yvonne alone, and out of guilt toward his daughter, he promised to give me all his shares in Ronghe Corporation. But when that woman found out, she immediately dumped him. Yvonne's father was devastated, got drunk that night, and died in a car accident!"
"Oh! So that's how it happened... Aunt Fang, it must've been so tough raising Yvonne all by yourself all these years! But how does all this connect to Yvonne's second uncle?" Lilian Grace asked from the side.
"I only learned later that the woman had dated Warren Hu first. For some reason, she thought Warren had no future, so she switched to seducing Martin Hu. She almost got what she wanted, too. Warren was furious about it and fought with his brother. After Martin died in the accident, Warren even demanded I transfer Martin's shares to him, saying it was Hu family property. But I never agreed to it."
After Martin passed away, the company was in chaos, losing money and racking up debts. It almost went bankrupt. So Warren stopped pestering me and even left the company for a while, afraid he'd get dragged down. But thanks to my hard work, I landed a few big deals and turned things around. That’s when Warren’s attitude changed—he started calling me 'Big Sis' and was super nice to Yvonne. Seeing him struggle, I let him back into management and even gave him some shares!
I always thought I’d done right by him—after all, we’re family. But I never imagined he’d do something so cruel to me and Yvonne! He’s worse than a wild animal!" Vivian Fang said bitterly.
"Even with this bottle of red wine as evidence, we still can’t be totally sure Warren’s the one behind it. I saw him messing with the bottle, but someone else could’ve tampered with it too. Should we investigate more thoroughly?" Lilian Grace suggested.
"By the way, Aunt Fang, you said you just moved into this new villa. Who oversaw the construction when it was being built?" Shawn Young asked.
"No need to investigate further. I’m sure it was Warren Hu. He personally supervised the villa’s construction, from laying the foundation to buying materials, all the way to completion. I asked him to move in with us, but he refused, saying he already had a place. Looking back, he must’ve been planning to target us from the start!" Vivian Fang said, her face cold as ice.
"Hmm, hearing Aunt Fang talk about it, it really does seem like Warren Hu is behind this. But these kinds of sinister curses and evil feng shui setups aren’t something just anyone can pull off. Did Warren ever study magic or feng shui?" Shawn Young asked Vivian Fang.
"No way! Definitely not. That guy’s nothing compared to his brother—he’s just a loser, always useless. He must’ve hired someone shady to mess with us!" Vivian Fang said with certainty.
"Hmm, that makes it easier to deal with him. But we can’t act yet—we don’t have hard evidence or leverage. And if we try to break the evil feng shui in the villa now, we’ll just tip him off. The person he hired is a real pro, and if they catch wind of our plan, they might trigger the Soul-Stealing Mother-Daughter Curse early, and that’d be a disaster! So first, I’ll help you two get rid of the curse. Then, we’ll break the evil setup in the villa. I’ve got a way to lure that person out. They’re my biggest enemy, and I’ll make sure Warren Hu pays for what he’s done! Even if I can’t take him down legally, he’ll still get what’s coming to him!" Shawn Young said coolly.
"So, what exactly is your plan for dealing with Warren Hu and his crew?" Vivian Fang asked.
"You'll see soon enough," Shawn Young replied. "Starting tomorrow, I'll help you break the curse first. Then, we'll follow the plan step by step. Just make sure not to tip off Warren Hu—Aunt Fang, it would be best if you could send him out of town for a few days, so he doesn't have a chance to come back here."
"Got it, I'll take care of it right away!" Vivian Fang answered without hesitation.
"Alright then, tonight I'll cultivate and gather some true energy!" Shawn Young said, getting serious—after all, tomorrow marked the start of a whole new challenge for him.
When they got back, Shawn Young had already set up for the ritual. He asked them to personally kill their roosters and collect the blood for the ceremony. Vivian Fang handled it with ease—she was a seasoned cook, so killing a chicken was no big deal.
But Yvonne Hu was another story. The poor campus belle, always cool and elegant, now had to face a big rooster with a kitchen knife in front of Shawn Young. She looked totally out of her element.
Yvonne stared at the rooster, knife in hand, but couldn’t bring herself to do it. Her face was pale, and her hands trembled as she looked at Shawn Young for help.
Shawn Young smiled, walked over, and gently encouraged her: "It’s just a chicken, Yvonne. You can do it!"

The worst part? She had no clue how to kill a chicken! Even though she’d watched others at the market, once that fierce rooster was in her hands, it was a whole different story!
Yvonne Hu grabbed the rooster’s wings with her left hand, clutching the kitchen knife in her right, trying to copy Vivian Fang’s technique—bend the neck, pluck some feathers. But whether she was too gentle or just not strong enough, the rooster freaked out, flapping and squawking like crazy. Yvonne lost her grip, and feathers flew everywhere as she waved the knife around, shrieking along with the bird.
"Big rooster, oh big rooster, please be good and let me kill you!" Yvonne begged, almost in tears.
Of course, the rooster didn’t care and kept flapping wildly. Yvonne’s hair was a mess, and her pretty face was covered in feathers—she looked absolutely hilarious.
Lilian Grace was so anxious for her, but she couldn’t help laughing and covered her mouth to hide her giggles. Shawn Young was even worse—he whipped out the iPhone 4S Lilian had given him and started filming Yvonne’s disaster, thinking, "Hehe—exclusive campus belle chicken-slaying video!"
Even Vivian Fang kept shaking her head, wanting to help but remembering Shawn Young’s rule that Yvonne had to do it herself. She could only watch helplessly as her precious daughter battled the clueless rooster.
Yvonne felt like everyone was staring at her like she was a circus act. Furious, she finally steeled herself, grabbed the rooster, slammed it to the floor, and started banging its head—"Bang! Bang! Bang!"—over and over.
The rooster screeched, scratching her delicate hands and leaving bloody marks. Now Yvonne was really mad—absolutely furious!
She screamed, swung the knife, and hacked at the rooster in a wild frenzy. Feathers and blood flew everywhere, and the poor bird finally died from sheer exhaustion, glaring at the campus belle as it breathed its last.
"Holy crap!! I—I finally killed it! I did it, I’m a chicken slayer! Boo hoo—" Yvonne cursed and burst into tears after her epic battle.
"Yvonne, don’t get too worked up—hurry and cut the comb to collect the blood!" Vivian Fang shouted.
"Oh! Oh! I’ll do it right now—boo hoo—I’m a chicken killer!" Yvonne sobbed as she sliced the rooster’s comb, letting the blood flow into the bowl. The campus belle’s dramatic chicken-slaying scene came to an end... but Shawn Young’s massage adventure was just beginning—hehe!
