The Ancient Heavenly Court

2/14/2026

Old Ox stood atop the river, staring blankly at the endless stream of painted pleasure boats and tall ships. The desolate Great Ruins, once shrouded in night, had become dazzlingly bright as day. The Yong River was now many times wider than before, and ornate dragon- and phoenix-carved boats sailed past them one after another.

Jade-green waves rippled—the mighty river was actually flowing through the sky!

Old Ox looked down but saw no land of the Great Ruins—only stars hanging in the night sky.

Some stars were near, some far—the close ones appeared huge, almost within reach, while the distant ones resembled moons. Even so, Old Ox could make out mountains and buildings on those distant stars.

On both banks of the Yong River, palatial Heaven Palaces loomed—each one more like a continent, floating on either side of the celestial river. These Heaven Palaces clustered together, forming the vast, magnificent Heavenly Court!

Old Ox shook his head, dazed and bewildered.

He was only carrying Quinn Shepherd past this place—how had he ended up in such a bizarre situation?

And just now, a woman on one of the pleasure boats said this was the Celestial River. Celestial River? Wasn’t this supposed to be the Yong River?

Where had the Great Ruins gone?

And what about Everpeace?
