Evan (Lin Feng) glanced at the nearby Warmjade Coffin and said, "Why do you call me Master? What's going on here? What exactly is the connection between us?"
"You possess the Primordial Dragon Bloodline—in fact, you are the reincarnation of the Primordial Dragon from millions of years ago. The fact that you can manifest the nine-clawed Golden Dragon proves your rebirth succeeded. Back then, I was merely your subordinate—a Voidjade Dragon by your side. In that ancient war, we both fell, but preserved our seeds of reincarnation. I never imagined I'd truly meet you again today. It's almost unbelievable."
"Voidjade Dragon? What kind of dragon is that? I've never heard of it. How could someone who was the Primordial Dragon's subordinate end up as the Emerald Immortal Empress?" Evan asked in surprise.
"Back then, I was the Primordial Dragon's first battle general. In the War of the Gods, I fell alongside the Primordial Dragon, but we both preserved our life seeds. After countless cycles of reincarnation, I became the Emerald Immortal Empress. However, when I faced my God-Tribulation, I encountered Nine-Heaven Divine Thunder. Of my seven po, six passed through and ascended to the God Realm, but the last po was shattered by divine lightning, leaving only three hun behind."
"But after more than two million years, even those three hun dwindled to just one remnant soul. I could only hope to find someone capable of restoring my body. Meeting you, Master, feels like fate itself," the Emerald Immortal Empress's remnant soul said.
Evan (Lin Feng) grew increasingly astonished and asked, "What happened to your other six po? Did they really ascend to the God Realm?"
"That's right. My other six po did ascend to the God Realm, but without the three hun, they sealed themselves after arriving. They hoped this remaining soul could restore my body, ascend to the God Realm, and then reunite with them. Although this chance was incredibly slim, meeting you makes it much more possible," the Emerald Immortal Empress's remnant soul replied.
The more Evan listened, the more shocked he became. He had never heard of anything like this—a soul ascending to the God Realm while the body and a remnant soul remained in the Immortal Realm. No one would believe it if he told them, but it had truly happened.
"You went to all this trouble, luring someone in with your treasures, just to have them restore your body? Even if you did restore your body, with only a single remnant soul, you'd be little more than a walking corpse. Why bother?" Evan said.
"If I can restore my body, I have my own plans. I could attempt the God-Tribulation again, ascend to the God Realm, and reunite with my six po. The remaining two hun could slowly regrow over time. Right now, I want to reincarnate, but I have no way—otherwise I would have done so long ago," the Emerald Immortal Empress explained.
"The laws of heaven and earth don't allow such a thing to happen, but now that I've met you, Master, I can give up on restoring my body completely. As long as you ascend to the God Realm, I can follow you and ascend as well. Restoring my body there will be much easier," the Emerald Immortal Empress said.
Right now, Evan felt as if he were dreaming—the Emerald Immortal Empress was actually his subordinate. No one would ever believe this, yet it was happening to him. Her other six po had ascended to the God Realm, while one hun remained in the Immortal Realm.
"So what do you want me to do? Should I restore your body, or something else? If you want your body restored, I should be able to do it. Think it over," Evan said.
"There's no need to restore my body. Now that I've met you, Master, I only wish to stay by your side. Just find a storage ring and place me inside—it contains many treasures from the Immortal Realm that I believe will be very useful to you," the Emerald Immortal Empress's remnant soul said.
Evan's heart stirred and he asked, "What kind of treasures are inside? Tell me—I want to see if I can use them. I have plenty of treasures myself, so if they're low-grade I won't be interested."
"Master, these items are all top-tier in the Immortal Realm. Any one of them would be considered a rare treasure. See those three areas sealed by light element? Each contains an elite Immortal weapon, and each weapon has an artifact spirit," the Emerald Immortal Empress's remnant soul explained.
Inside my Warmjade Coffin is an exceptional magic treasure called the Firmament Light Mirror. If you infuse it with Immortal Spirit Force, it can fire beams of light element to attack enemies. The stronger your cultivation and light mastery, the greater its power. It's an extremely rare light-attribute artifact," the Emerald Immortal Empress's remnant soul said.
Evan was genuinely moved and asked, "If it's so powerful, do you have any light-energy crystals here—something even higher grade than a Light Spirit Pearl?"
This was what Evan truly needed. Light element was extremely rare, and most people didn't even know it existed. Breaking through to the second layer of Light Transformation was incredibly difficult. Since the Emerald Immortal Empress understood light element so well, she was the perfect person to ask.
"Master, you want a light-energy crystal? That's easy—there's a Luminous Crystal right here inside the Warmjade Coffin. You can take it anytime, but you should know that breaking open this coffin won't be easy. It protects my remnant soul and is extremely hard, plus there's a powerful light-element restriction that you'll need to break," the Emerald Immortal Empress's remnant soul said.
"So troublesome? How do I break this restriction? Don't tell me it's another light-element barrier?" Evan complained.
"It is indeed a light-element restriction, but since Master could easily break the outer light barrier, I believe you can break the one on the coffin as well. They're essentially the same type of array," the Emerald Immortal Empress said.
Evan crossed the pool and walked up to the Warmjade Coffin, carefully sensing the fluctuations of light-element molecules on its surface. He quickly resonated with them and easily broke the restriction.
With a thought, Evan guided the light-element molecules to disperse to both sides, revealing the true appearance of the Warmjade Coffin. When he touched it, he felt a lingering warmth and found it odd. "Why is it still warm? Is this really crystal?" he wondered aloud.
"It looks like a crystal coffin, but it's actually made from ten-thousand-year Warmjade. Warmjade nourishes souls, which is why my remnant soul hasn't dissipated. But Warmjade is naturally incredibly hard, as tough as metal and stone, so breaking it is no easy task," the Emerald Immortal Empress explained.
Originally, the Warmjade Coffin was made of two separate pieces, but after so many years, the Warmjade molecules fused together into a single whole. To obtain the Firmament Light Mirror and the Luminous Crystal, you'll have to break the Warmjade. Of course, my remnant soul will be released as well—please take me in when that happens, Master."
"Stop calling me Master—just call me Lin Feng. I'll call you Emerald. Don't worry, I’ll definitely help you. Now, let me see just how tough this Warmjade really is," Evan said, as the Frostbane Divine Sword appeared in his hand...
