Lynn Chen’s Exam Pouch

2/14/2026

Inside the military hospital, the senior doctors stared at the X-rays, speechless. Comparing the new scans with the previous ones, they found the bones had recovered to an extent that could only be described as miraculous.

Everyone stood there in a daze for a long while before anyone began urgently asking what had just happened.

The technique Evan Lin just displayed caused an uproar throughout the hospital, but to Evan himself, it was nothing worth mentioning.

After leaving the military hospital, Evan didn't go far. He found a secluded spot nearby and sat down cross-legged.

Fortunately, the hospital was in a remote area, rarely visited, so no one paid attention to him.

As soon as he sat down, Evan focused his mind and ran the Grand Dao Foundation Art, silently reciting the incantation to gradually calm his inner spiritual qi.

More than half an hour passed before Evan slowly opened his eyes, his brows slightly furrowed.

"I just used spiritual qi to forcibly knit their bones back together. That kind of technique should drain the mind, which is expected. But after circulating my qi, it feels much more domineering than before—even my blood can't help but boil. Why is that?"

Evan looked puzzled.

Inside his spirit spring, a trace of qi still glowed faint red. Some of this stored qi had been transformed earlier when the Left-Hand Dragon awoke and exhaled.

Compared to ordinary spiritual qi, this qi was denser and more mysterious. It was thanks to this special qi that their bones recovered so quickly.

If he had used regular spiritual qi, it would have taken at least six hours to fully heal.

"Could it be because of the Left-Hand Dragon?"

As soon as Evan thought of this, a look of realization flashed in his eyes.

"Dragon breath is the exhalation of a dragon, and the breath of an archaic immortal dragon is even more domineering. Qi tainted by the Left-Hand Dragon is naturally powerful, but also much harder to control."

Thinking of this, Evan stood up, focused, and looked at a large tree not far away. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled the remaining faint red qi from his spirit spring, guiding it toward the tree without using any technique.

Boom!

The faint red qi, seemingly harmless, exploded into blinding flames the moment it touched the tree. Instantly, the entire tree was set ablaze and burned to ash.

"Pure spiritual qi has such terrifying power!"

Evan stared, stunned, his heart filled with astonishment.

On the Immortal Martial Continent, spiritual qi is also graded. Ordinary qi itself has no destructive power; only by combining it with techniques can it be shaped into something formidable.

But this faint red qi seemed to possess innate power. Obviously, it was connected to that dragon.

"Honestly, if it weren't for that dragon, this kind of qi wouldn't even exist in my body! My current physique can barely handle it."

Evan clicked his tongue in amazement, feeling great.

Higher-grade qi meant greater strength. Right now, Evan was at the early Foundation stage—he seemed unbeatable, but in such a vast world, who knew if some hidden old monster might appear?

With this kind of qi backing him, Evan's strength was naturally even more terrifying.

After lingering in that spot for a while, Evan pushed off the ground and left, leaving behind only the ashes of the tree he'd burned.

In the past few days, the senior students at Capitalview First High were on high alert, gearing up for their second monthly exam.

Evan, meanwhile, received several phone calls.

Most of the calls were from Eldest Brother Su himself, updating Evan about First Blade and Second Blade's recovery.

One call was from Molly Su. Her voice on the other end was gentle, asking about Evan's recent life. From her tone, it was clear she'd recovered well, and she even invited Evan to visit the Su estate.

Victor Su also called Evan. Ever since Evan helped him regain his dignity, Victor had been in great spirits, and after Nathan Lin was forced to kneel in public, the Lin family's arrogance had faded considerably.

Still, Victor Su was worried about the war post from the Southriver Sword Sect. The sect was a long-standing powerhouse in Jinnan, full of danger and not to be taken lightly.

If Evan really went alone, it would be far too risky.

The rest of the calls were mostly from Second Brother Su. Ever since he learned Evan was the one who cured Victor Su and wiped out the Miracle Hand Sect experts as Master Lin of Seacrest Prefecture, he'd been dying to follow Evan around and serve him tea every minute.

Not only that, since it was Second Brother Su who invited Evan to the Su family's birthday banquet, Victor Su had been much kinder to him lately, making Second Brother Su even more grateful to Evan.

But Evan was basically too lazy to meet up with Second Brother Su, leaving him endlessly frustrated.

Early morning.

Outside the corridor at Capitalview First High, Byron Yang stood with his hands behind his back, looking into the classroom through the glass window.

Inside, the desks and chairs had already been arranged for the monthly exam: 30 students per room, seats set in a 7-8-8-7 pattern—the standard college entrance exam seating.

Today was the second monthly exam day for Capitalview First High's senior year, and soon enough, students began nervously finding their assigned seats.

Byron Yang checked the time.

It was already 8:30 a.m.

Most of the students had arrived, but one seat in the classroom was still empty.

That seat was supposed to be Evan Lin's.

"Skipping the exam again?" Byron Yang sighed, rubbing his temples in frustration.

Absent for the first monthly exam, absent again for the second.

In all his years of teaching, he'd never seen a student who cared so little about exams or school rules.

Byron Yang glanced around and saw a girl coming down the staircase from the nearby teaching building, dressed in a light white dress.

The girl's face was sweet, but her expression showed a hint of hesitation and uncertainty.

She carried a clear exam pouch in her hand, filled with all the tools she needed for the test.

Byron Yang recognized her.

It was Lynn Chen from Class 2, who had transferred from Minghai along with Evan Lin. Unlike Evan, who was a math genius but an oddball, Lynn was the classic 'good student' in the teachers' eyes.

Lynn had become the model student, especially with how hard she'd been studying lately. Even Mr. Wang had mentioned her effort more than once in the office.

She was the kind of girl who made people feel happy just looking at her.
