Kidnapping His Own Children
Once he recovered, Joanna Zuo skillfully applied medicine to his wounds and bandaged him up.
Then, Grace told him about the 'Love Hex.'
Mr. Grant, upon hearing this, burst into tears and laughter, shouting to the sky, "Qiang'er, you actually put a Love Hex on me? Why would you do that? Why? Do you want me to forget you?"
"Mr. Grant, this is my master," Grace said, pointing to Tushan Jun. "Let my master help you remove the Love Hex!"
Mr. Grant stared blankly at Tushan Jun for a long time, then resolutely shook his head. "I won't remove it!"
"What?" Grace was truly shocked by his earlier agony and asked sympathetically, "Since your wife is gone, just forget it! Otherwise, this kind of pain—"
"She wants me to forget her, but I refuse!" Mr. Grant replied. "I want to remember her, think of her for a lifetime. I'd rather die than forget her!"
"Mr. Grant, why put yourself through this?" Grace frowned. "The past can't be chased. We have to look forward in life."
"Thank you both for your kindness." Mr. Grant stood up and walked into the house. "Pharmacist Zuo, you don't need to come again. Thank you!"
He entered the house and closed the door.
Grace shook her head.
"What is love in this world?" Joanna Zuo sighed. "There are men like Mr. Grant who are hopelessly devoted, and then there are jerks like Andrew Zhao... Why did I have to end up with that jerk Andrew Zhao?"
Grace held her hand and said, "Don't be like Mr. Grant. Why put yourself through so much pain?"
Joanna Zuo was about to speak when a maid hurried over, shouting as she ran, "Madam, madam, something terrible has happened!"
"What's wrong, Aunt Zhang?" Joanna Zuo frowned. "Aren't you supposed to be watching the kids at home? Why are you here?"
"The children... the children were taken away by the son of Duke Zhao!" Aunt Zhang said.
"What?" Joanna Zuo was shocked. "Where did he take them?"
"He didn't say. He just left a letter for you and told me to give it to you." Aunt Zhang handed the letter to Joanna Zuo.
Joanna Zuo frantically tore open the letter, then gritted her teeth and squeezed out three words: "Andrew Zhao!"
"What is it?" Grace asked. "What did he write in the letter?"
Joanna Zuo handed the letter to her.
Grace read it. There was only one sentence: They will share the fate of the Duke Zhao Mansion.
"Even a tiger won't eat its cubs!" Grace frowned. "He actually kidnapped his own children!"
"I'm going to report this to the authorities!" Joanna Zuo turned to leave. "I'll get my kids back!"
Grace stopped her. "It's useless!"
"Why is it useless?"
"If the authorities go to the Duke Zhao Mansion, they'll say Andrew Zhao is mentally unstable and that they don't know where the children are," Grace said.
"Then what should I do?" Joanna Zuo cried in despair. "President, what should I do?"
"Don't worry," Grace comforted her. "I'll help you get your children back."
"Can you? Can you really get them back?"
Grace nodded. "I'll go ask someone for help right now. You go home and find some hair from both of them. We'll quickly find where they're hiding. Trust me."
"Hair?" Joanna Zuo was puzzled.
"Yes, hair, nails, baby teeth—anything from their bodies will do," Grace said.
"Okay! No problem, I'll get it right away." Joanna Zuo rushed off.
