One Step on the Dragon’s Head, Soaring to the Ninth Heaven
"That's..."
Seeing that hand reaching out from the fire net, Melissa Mu's eyes widened in shock, her mind blank.
"With such high temperatures, is he still alive?" Uncle Victor's face changed.
Just now, he'd stared over there for ages, unable to see any movement in the fire. If that teenager really had the ability to break through the fire net, he should've come out long ago.
But he hadn't. Instead, he'd been roasted in the flames for so long—if it were a normal person in there, their flesh and bones would have been completely charred by now.
"Wait! He hasn't made a single scream this whole time! In other words, is he not afraid of fire at all?"
Suddenly realizing this, Uncle Victor's expression changed dramatically.
"Stop struggling! Wouldn't it be easier to just stand there and wait for death?"
On the other side, Harvey Xie saw that hand reaching out from the fire net, and his eyes filled with unease and agitation as he shouted over.
"Still not dead?" Fire Elder's brows furrowed, his heart sinking. The confidence on his face was replaced by a shadow of gloom.
He stared fixedly at Evan, his eyes reflecting the flames.
In the orange-red flames, a faint, blurry figure gradually emerged.
The next moment, a voice rang out, full of disdain: "Is this all you've got? Honestly, the elders of Medicine King Valley are just pathetic!"
"With skills like that, you aren't even qualified to clean my toilet!"
The moment Evan spoke—
Fire Elder's face twisted, and while Harvey Xie was still stunned, Fire Elder was the first to react.
He shouted, flames surging around him. His robes flew as he reached out his right hand and grabbed Harvey Xie by the collar, lifting him with one hand. A faint fire glow rose under his feet as he retreated swiftly, turning and shooting toward the edge of the village like a thunderbolt.
Seeing Fire Elder run without looking back, Uncle Victor and Melissa Mu stared at the blazing fire before them, regret surging in their hearts.
Fire Elder was incredibly fast. With just a few leaps, he'd already gone several hundred meters, about to escape the village and vanish into the mountains.
"Trying to run?"
Evan Lin snorted coldly and, in the next instant, ripped that fire net apart with one hand.
Melissa Mu saw that within half a meter around the guy, not a single flame could get close. His clothes were spotless, not a speck of dust, face calm and unreadable. In the firelight, he suddenly grabbed the net with his right hand, gave his arm a little shake—bam! The whole fire net shattered into a million sparks.
A Medicine King Valley elder? Killing you is no different than squashing a dog!
In the next instant, millions of fire sparks surged like a tidal wave, crashing straight for Fire Elder and Harvey Xie.
The scorching heat twisted the air, but Evan Lin just stepped forward, right hand clenched. Instantly, the rain that’d been burned away by the firestorm came roaring back—wilder and heavier than ever.
Torrential downpour!
Who the hell are you?!
Fire Elder was sprinting, thinking he’d escape, but a sudden wave of danger made him dodge sideways before he even realized it.
He turned his head and saw the torrential rain and blazing fire behind him merging perfectly into one—totally unreal!
The wind howled, wildfires swept across the land!
The raging storm of water and fire was on top of him in an instant!
Fire Elder swept his sleeve, flames erupting from his hand to form a small fire wall, trying to block everything in front of him.
But it was totally useless!
The dense sparks instantly tore through the fire wall, and the pounding rain that followed punched right through it!
Bang!
Water and fire slammed into Fire Elder and Harvey Xie, knocking them aside and sending them rolling across the ground in utter disgrace.
Melissa Mu stared at the scene, her mind totally fried!
Is... is that a dragon...?
Melissa Mu's face went pale as she muttered to herself.
Next to her, Uncle Victor was forced to his knees by the sudden pressure, bowing his head and crouching low!
