Heart for Heart

2/14/2026

Nolan Drake lay sprawled atop Serena Feng, his fingers lightly tapping out a rhythm on her body. Joy radiated from him, his whole being suffused with happiness, and the smile at his lips only grew wider...

He truly hadn't expected things to go so smoothly. After all his careful scheming, Nolan realized he didn't need any elaborate plans—just his sincere heart was enough to win Serena's in return.

Normally, Nolan was obsessively fastidious, hated being close to women, and couldn't stand mess or stickiness. Yet now, he stayed perfectly still, tightly embracing Serena's sweat-damp, delicate body, pressing down on her without the slightest aversion.

If only life could always be this peaceful and steady. Spending a lifetime like this with Serena wouldn't be a bad choice at all.

Of course, that thought was just a fleeting moment. Nolan had too many obligations tying him down; all he could do was wish time would stop right here.

But time wouldn't pause for them, and Serena couldn't bear having a grown man like Nolan pressing down on her for so long.

"You're really heavy." Nolan was utterly satisfied after their release, but as for Serena...

Ugh... she felt awful, like her whole body had fallen apart. Everything hurt.

Ugh... she regretted saying she'd agree so much. If she'd known this man's body was made of iron, she would've never said yes, not in a million years.

Seeing Serena's limp, powerless state, Nolan knew he'd gone overboard. Their first time together, he lost control—driven by desire and their almost perfect physical compatibility, he kept wanting more, unable to stop himself, just following instinct and repeatedly demanding from Serena, satisfying both his body and heart.

Luckily, Serena had the protection of her Phoenixfield Heiress Brand. Otherwise, with Nolan demanding her again and again, she would've long since lost consciousness.

Seeing Serena so weak and delicate, Nolan's heart ached for her—yet he couldn't help feeling a bit proud. He pulled her closer, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"If you think I'm heavy, then you can lie on top of me instead. I don't mind your weight." With a playful roll, Nolan switched their positions so Serena was now on top.

Serena lay across Nolan, quietly feeling his breathing and the warmth radiating from his body.

"Why is there a piece of clothing here?" The white cloth at Nolan's lower abdomen was already soaked through. Serena hadn't noticed it before, but now, reaching out to pull it off, Nolan quickly grabbed her hand.

"It's my training wear. I can't take it off. Don't move around, or you really won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow." Nolan responded instantly, making up an excuse.

Normally, Serena would ask more questions, but after witnessing Nolan's ferocity and strength, she didn't think twice—honestly, her mind was too dazed to care.

Nolan breathed a silent sigh of relief when Serena dropped the subject. He pulled the quilt over her, and his hand wandered mischievously to her waist, gently stroking back and forth...

"Don't start again, I really don't have any strength left." Serena's attention was successfully diverted; she tried to bat Nolan's hand away, but she was too weak and could only let him play, treating her body like a piano.

With the blanket covering them, Nolan's 'clothing situation' was conveniently hidden.

Nolan chuckled softly, his hand pausing on Serena's shapely bottom. With a gentle squeeze, he pressed her closer, clearly tempted to go for another round.

Serena couldn't help but squirm, her body moving on its own as she buried her face in Nolan's chest.

"I really can't take it anymore, it hurts so much down there. And at dawn, I have to go into the palace." Serena's face was crimson, her head still hidden in Nolan's arms, refusing to look up.

"I'll apply medicine for you later." Nolan promised matter-of-factly, and Serena, blushing, agreed without protest.

Ugh... how humiliating! She'd actually been left so limp and powerless by this man. Nolan was way too terrifying—she swore she'd never let him into her bed so easily again.

Finally, Nolan stopped teasing her. Stroking her back with his right hand, he reassured, "Don't be so tense. I'm not a beast—I do care about you. I know your body can't take more, so I won't push you again. I just want to hold you."

"You're barely better than a beast," Serena muttered.
