Fire Crystal Stone

Elder Leonard Huo tried to stand up, but the overwhelming pressure on his body made it impossible for him to even rise.

With great difficulty, Elder Leonard Huo lifted his head and looked up at the youth standing high above in the sky.

"Fire Elder of Medicine King Valley, do you have any last words?"

Evan Lin kept his head lowered, his eyes cold. The look he gave Elder Leonard Huo was utterly indifferent.

Elder Leonard Huo spat out a mouthful of blood, gritting his teeth as he stared at the youth standing in the sky, his eyes full of sorrow. “Today, I, Leonard Huo of Medicine King Valley, have disgraced the Valley! To be defeated by a junior without even a chance to fight back!”

“I ask for nothing else—just that you spare my disciple, Harvey Xie. He may be rash in word and deed, but his talent and comprehension are outstanding. Besides, with your gifts, he’ll never be your match in this lifetime, so you needn’t worry about him seeking revenge. What do you say?”

Elder Leonard Huo looked utterly miserable. At this moment, he had no thought of fighting back—he could only look up at Evan Lin, who stood atop the dragon’s head, his face pale as a sheet.

Harvey Xie, hearing this, suddenly regained some color in his terrified face. Hope flashed in his eyes and he hurriedly nodded at Evan Lin, shouting, “Yes! Spare me! I swear I’ll never seek revenge! If you want to kill, just kill my master instead!”

Harvey Xie scrambled to kowtow to Evan Lin, terrified that even a moment’s delay would displease him. In no time at all, his forehead was covered in blood from the repeated bows.

Faced with a choice between life and dignity, Harvey Xie clearly chose survival.

Seeing Harvey Xie’s utter lack of backbone, Elder Leonard Huo coughed up another mouthful of blood in anger.

"You want to live? I'll give you five minutes—kill your master with your own hands, and I might consider it," Evan Lin said coolly, looking down at Harvey Xie, who was still desperately kowtowing.

"Really?" Harvey Xie looked up like he'd grabbed onto a lifeline, his face full of excitement.

"You!" Elder Leonard Huo’s face changed at Evan Lin’s words. He turned to see Harvey Xie already struggling to his feet, grabbing a stone and nervously approaching in the rain.

"Harvey! I raised you from childhood!" Elder Leonard Huo saw Harvey Xie choose to kill him without a second thought, and his heart filled with rage and despair.

"Master, don’t blame me! You were going to die here anyway—does it matter whose hand does it? You raised me, so I owe you a proper send-off!" Harvey Xie’s face twisted with ferocity as he strode forward, raised the stone high, and brought it crashing down on Elder Leonard Huo’s head.

Elder Leonard Huo sighed deeply. The stone struck, splitting his head and drawing blood. Already wounded, he had no intention of fighting back and simply collapsed to the ground.

Harvey Xie’s face was twisted with madness as he relentlessly smashed the stone down onto Elder Leonard Huo’s body, blood pooling beneath him.

Evan Lin watched with a calm, indifferent expression.

Not far away, Melissa Mu stood frozen, her face deathly pale at the sight. Especially seeing Harvey Xie, spattered with blood and looking like a vengeful ghost, she couldn’t help but be gripped by terror.

Uncle Victor Li beside her was trembling, gazing at the youth standing atop the dragon's head, his heart filled with nothing but awe.

"He's dead! He's dead!" Harvey Xie looked at the ruined body of Elder Leonard Huo, then excitedly looked up at Evan Lin in the sky. "Can I go now? Can I go now?!"

At this moment, Harvey Xie didn't want to stay here even a second longer—he just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

Every extra second in front of Evan Lin filled him with fear.

'Dead, huh.' Evan Lin nodded slightly. 'Then you can go die too.'

"What did you say?! You promised me! You said if I killed my master, you'd let me go!" Harvey Xie's face changed dramatically.

"I only said I’d consider it. I never said I wouldn’t kill you. Someone who can kill the master who raised him without hesitation is probably a menace too."

Evan Lin sneered coldly.

Harvey Xie turned and ran.

But in the next instant, the massive water dragon swallowed Harvey Xie whole.

Evan Lin jumped down from the dragon’s head, landed on the ground, and looked up slightly as the dark clouds in the sky instantly scattered.

Soon, sunlight pierced through the clouds and poured down onto the ground.

The sudden downpour vanished completely, leaving no trace.

From Evan Lin’s backpack, three female spirits floated out and drifted toward the corpses of Elder Leonard Huo and Harvey Xie. Before long, their bodies had completely disappeared.

At the same time, one of the female spirits took a small crimson stone from Elder Leonard Huo’s clothes.

The stone still retained some warmth; touching it felt as if fire burned in his hand.

"No wonder—it’s a fire crystal. Otherwise, how could he have made such a spectacle with his cultivation?" Evan Lin muttered, frowning at the fire crystal in his hand. "The fire inside this crystal is low grade, but it’s enough for refining some basic pills."

Evan Lin pondered silently.

Fire crystals are generally refined from elemental fire energy. Different fires produce different fire crystals, and their grades and uses vary greatly.

In the world, fire is generally divided into mortal fire, divine fire, holy fire, and exotic fire. Mortal fire is the weakest; exotic fire is the strongest. Few know of anything beyond exotic fire.

The Fire Crystal Stone is more like a container; its fire power is limited, and it functions as a kind of magic tool. The one in Evan Lin's hand is already heavily depleted, with its fire almost exhausted.

Evan Lin still had several century-old spirit herbs, including a century-old He Shou Wu.

He Shou Wu is especially valued for its beauty-enhancing effects; on the Immortal Martial Continent, it was a prized spirit herb sought after by countless women.

Compared to other spirit herbs that focus on cultivation, He Shou Wu of the same grade was even more sought after.

But to refine beauty pills, I still need some more ingredients.

Evan Lin muttered to himself.

This time, Evan Lin didn’t just want Joy Zheng to live better—he wanted to restore the youth she had lost.

In the past, Joy Zheng had grown especially weary from the burdens of life. Though still pretty, she had more white hair and looked older than her peers, with deep crow’s feet around her eyes.

Thinking of this, Evan Lin felt a pang in his heart.

You two still haven’t run? Planning to stay and get buried with them?

Evan Lin slipped the Fire Crystal Stone into his pocket, turned around, and looked indifferently at Melissa Mu and Uncle Victor Li.
