Demanding a Blacklist

1/11/2026

"Of course you can."

Ian Song nodded. "If you ever run into this problem again, just follow these steps and press these spots with a bit of force. That'll do the trick."

As Ian spoke, he demonstrated on his own head. He only explained three times before Cynthia Murong picked it up.

"Thank you so much."

Cynthia Murong said gratefully. As a top celebrity, she often attends all kinds of events and flies frequently. Every takeoff is torture for her, so having a way to relieve her pain makes her genuinely happy.

"It's nothing, just a little trick." Ian said with a nonchalant smile.

Finally, the plane began cruising smoothly.

It takes about fifteen hours to fly from Flame City to Los Angeles—a long journey.

"You're Cynthia Murong, aren't you?"

Just then, a slightly flippant voice interrupted Ian and Cynthia's quiet conversation.

The person who interrupted them was a young man, slightly overweight, dressed in an expensive suit and luxury watch, with a clear air of arrogance about him. He looked to be around twenty-four or twenty-five.

"Sorry, sir, you've got the wrong person."

Cynthia Murong replied coolly. She was heading to the U.S. for vacation and didn't want her celebrity status to be a burden.

Hearing this, the young man smirked, a hint of mockery in his smile. "No need to be so distant, Miss Murong. My name is Eric Han, and StarSky Entertainment is my family's company."

At the mention of StarSky Entertainment, Cynthia Murong was slightly surprised. The film industry these days is booming—give a third-rate script to a bunch of stars and you can easily rake in hundreds of millions at the box office.

So, big capital has flooded into the industry, making the already restless movie scene even more chaotic.

And StarSky Entertainment is an entertainment company that was only founded in the past year.

Even though StarSky Entertainment is only a year old, its deep pockets have let it snatch up a whole slew of A-list celebrities, and there are even rumors that two top stars are about to jump ship to StarSky.

In just its first year, StarSky Entertainment has already made three movies.

The first film, 'Youth Never Regrets,' took in 380 million yuan. The second, a 3D martial arts flick, made 721 million. Their latest 3D mythological movie has already passed 1 billion in just two weeks, and it's expected to hit 1.5 billion before leaving theaters.

That's why StarSky Entertainment has been riding a huge wave of hype lately.

Showbiz is all about everyone lifting each other up, so since the other party is also in the industry, Cynthia Murong couldn't hide anymore. She took off her sunglasses and smiled, "So it's Mr. Han—I've heard a lot about you."

"You're too kind, Miss Murong!" Eric Han replied proudly, then turned his gaze to Ian Song. "Hey, buddy, could you move seats? I have some business to discuss with Miss Murong."

Eric Han's tone sounded polite, but there was an unmistakable sense of command.

"How about you stop bothering me? I want to rest." Ian Song replied bluntly. He could see right through this guy's intentions and had no intention of giving up his seat.

Hearing Ian's words, a flash of anger crossed Eric Han's eyes. "You talk to me like that—do you even know who I am?"

"I'm not deaf. Didn't you just say your name is Eric Han?"

"Since you know I'm Eric Han, you still dare talk to me like that? Aren't you afraid I'll blacklist you?" Eric Han sneered. Seeing Ian joking around with Cynthia, he assumed Ian was also in showbiz.

Ian Song laughed. "I'd actually like to know what getting blacklisted feels like—but too bad, I'm not in showbiz."

That shut Eric Han up for a moment. After half a beat, his face turned dark as he asked, "Then where do you mix?"

"I'm still just a student!"

Eric Han's eyes lit up. "So you're just a student, but you dare act so cocky? Believe it or not, I could get you expelled from your school."

"Go ahead, I wouldn't mind quitting anyway. By the way, my name's Ian Song—freshman Literature major at Waterwood University. Want the phone numbers for my department chair or the university president?" Ian looked at Eric Han as he spoke.

Waterwood University is one of the best schools in Yanhuang. The president holds a full-province rank; while that's not as much real power as a provincial governor, their influence and connections far surpass it.

Eric Han's family might be rich, but they're just businessmen. Not even his dad could reach into Waterwood University, let alone get Ian Song expelled. Even if they could, they wouldn't have the power to pull it off.

"Kid, I'll remember you!"

Eric Han shot Ian Song a vicious glare, then gave up arguing. This kid was like a latrine stone—smelly and hard. But really, he just couldn't do anything about it. No matter how powerful StarSky Entertainment was, Ian didn't depend on him for a living.

"Miss Murong, would you be interested in joining StarSky? We'll pay your liquidated damages, and as for your signing bonus, name any price you like." Eric Han called out. Cynthia Murong was one of the hottest female stars in showbiz, and stunningly beautiful. If he could sign her to his company, it'd be much easier to take advantage of her later.

Cynthia Murong's brows furrowed slightly. "Sorry, Mr. Han, I have no plans to switch companies right now."

"What, Miss Murong, do you look down on StarSky Entertainment?" Eric Han's face darkened as he pressed her.

Just then, Ian Song pressed the call button, and a flight attendant quickly walked over.

"Sir, is there anything I can help you with?" the flight attendant asked Ian with a polite smile.

Ian pointed at Eric Han. "This guy's disturbing my rest. Could you please ask him to leave?"

The flight attendant nodded, then turned to Eric Han. "Sir, could you please return to your seat? Please don't disturb other passengers."

"Kid, I'm not done with you!"

Eric Han was nearly driven mad with anger. He gritted his teeth, spat out a harsh line at Ian Song, and stalked off.

"Sir, is there anything else I can do for you?" the flight attendant asked again.

"Thanks, that's all." Ian Song smiled at her.

The flight attendant gave him a sweet smile as well. "Alright, if you need anything, just let me know. I'm happy to serve you."

…………

"Ian, you've helped me again. How about I treat you to a meal after we land?" Cynthia Murong said with a smile.

"Sure, I've never eaten with a bona fide superstar before." Ian Song replied, half teasing.

For the rest of the journey, Eric Han didn't bother Cynthia Murong again.

After a bout of heavy turbulence, the plane landed at Los Angeles International Airport.

As they were getting off the plane, Cynthia Murong asked Ian Song, "Ian, is anyone picking you up? If not, why don't we leave together? My close friend is already waiting outside with her car."

Ian Song waved his hand. "No need, really."

"Why be so polite with me? Don't forget, I still owe you a meal. You can't refuse to give me the chance to treat you!" Cynthia Murong smiled at him.

"Alright then!"

Ian thought it over and nodded in agreement.
