"I saw it. So what?" she replied.
"That might be the Eternal Night Divine Lord!" Darren Xuan couldn't hide his excitement.
"Why are you so interested in the Eternal Night Divine Lord?"
"Because he's a Demon Beast! And he was personally trained by Emperor Sean Shaw! Aren't you curious what he looks like?"
Ethan Lu said, "It's just a rat. What could it possibly look like?"
Her gaze shifted to Sean.
According to Luna Lian, this was his first time appearing publicly before the gods.
Lucia Lu couldn't help but feel a bit worried about him.
Maybe she was worried the Celestial Empress would embarrass him again.
Or maybe she was worried he just didn't like this kind of occasion.
Honestly, she didn't even know what the heck she was worried about.
Thankfully, the Celestial Empress kept it together this time—at least she didn’t pull another disaster like the last family banquet.
He sat where he was supposed to: right next to Brandon Xiao.
Out of all the Celestial Emperor’s children, only Brandon Xiao and Sean had ascended to High God. So Sean’s seat was just below Brandon’s.
But he was nothing like Brandon, who could charm anyone and talk his way out of anything. Sean just sat there alone, perfectly silent.
Still, he looked way too good for his own good.
Even without saying a word, he drew plenty of attention. Lots of people started asking who he was.
The Celestial Emperor or Brandon would introduce him to everyone.
Everyone started whispering and gossiping, pointing and chattering away.
But the gossip was nothing compared to all the flirty glances.
The goddesses couldn’t take their eyes off him—and once they found out he was Fifth Highness, the flirty looks just kept coming, wave after wave.
......
Once the banquet started, the sound of silk and bamboo filled the hall—music and dancing everywhere.
Beautiful immortal maidens came forward to perform.
Lucia Lu usually stayed cooped up in the Spirit Alliance.
That place was all about restraint and ascetic living.
Her days were spent gathering herbs, refining pills, or treating patients.
So she’d rarely seen such polished performances—she watched, totally absorbed.
But the regulars at these banquets were already bored out of their minds.
One High God said, "If we're talking dance skills, no one in Drake Abyss can outshine Lady Hundred Blossoms. Queen Dowager, why not invite her to perform for His Majesty?"
"Yeah, totally!" The crowd chimed in, egging her on.
The Queen Dowager smiled at the beautiful immortal standing behind her. "Lana Bloom, go on!"
Lana Bloom, known as Lady Hundred Blossoms, was stunning—her eyes curved even when she wasn’t smiling, her expressions could be sweet or mischievous, and her graceful figure screamed ‘born dancer.’
She smiled and said, "Queen Dowager, I’m always the one performing. Surely everyone’s tired of watching me by now? How about we try something new this time?"
"Something new?" the Queen Dowager asked her.
"Today, so many of His Majesty's students are here—the core of the new generation from all three divine realms. Why not let them perform for His Majesty? It’ll give them a chance to show their respect, and we’ll get to see just how talented these young gods and goddesses are."
"Hey, that’s a great idea!" someone immediately agreed. "But there are like forty or fifty of His Majesty’s students here today, right? We can’t have all of them perform, can we?"
Lady Hundred Blossoms said, "Easy fix—we’ll play pass-the-flower! How about that?"
Everyone loved the idea.
None of the students tried to back out.
They were all kids from major clans, trained in way more than just cultivation—everyone had a special talent or two, so no one was scared.
Some were even itching to show off and grab the spotlight.
