Quinn Shepherd's mind thundered, thoughts tumbling in chaos, his ears ringing with noise.

What Sage Nicholas Tranquil revealed was truly astonishing—not just the content, but the implications were earth-shaking!

Little Jade Capital Sect, the Cult of the Heavenly Saint, and the Human Emperor Hall all share the same origin: created by people from the same era, the same place. Even more, these three holy lands are fragments of that very place!

He turned to look at Village Chief, who appeared calm as ever, his emotions unmoved—as if, no matter how world-shaking Sage Nicholas Tranquil's words were, they could not stir his heart.

Or perhaps, he had long known the connection between these three holy lands, so it was hard to surprise him.

But Old Tathagata and Old Dao Master were both visibly shocked; clearly, these two former heads of holy lands knew nothing of this story.

The origins of these two holy lands were even older, yet some histories were never recorded.

Sage Nicholas Tranquil withdrew his gaze from Village Chief and looked at Quinn, pausing in surprise before smiling: "It seems Old Human Emperor never told you the truth. You haven't visited the Human Emperor Hall either. Young Human Emperor, you ought to go there—it will reveal many secrets."

Quinn steadied himself and said gravely, "I ask Sage Nicholas to speak plainly!"

Sage Nicholas Tranquil looked again at Village Chief, whose expression remained as calm as a still pond.

Sage Nicholas Tranquil smiled, "If you won't speak, I'll have to take over. Human Emperor, come with me."

He walked down the mountain, Quinn followed, and Village Chief silently floated behind them. Bear Xiyu hesitated, grabbed Bear Qier, and shook her head: "We shouldn't get too involved in Central Land affairs."

Bear Qier was puzzled, but Bear Xiyu had her own concerns. The True Heaven Palace's troubles in Western Land were headache enough, and Central Land's matters were even more daunting. She sensed that some secrets were better left unknown.

Old Dao Master and Old Tathagata exchanged glances. Old Dao Master laughed, "Nothing to worry about—we're already immortals of Little Jade Capital. Best not to learn more secrets and disturb our peace of mind."

Old Tathagata glanced at him, "But that Golden Scripture Scroll records the method for connecting the Divine Bridge. Aren't you tempted?"

"So what if it does?"

Old Dao Master said leisurely, "And where is the one who created the method for connecting the Divine Bridge now?"

Old Tathagata paused, then burst out laughing, giving up on following them: "Every Human Emperor has failed. No need for us to join the commotion."

As for the Dragon-Qilin, he didn’t follow either, but lay down nearby to sleep, snoring like thunder.

"You'll get eaten," Bear Qier whispered in his ear.
