Out of Sight, Out of Mind
"Is that something you should be saying?" Evan Xiao flicked her forehead.
"Boing!" went the sound.
"Ouch, that hurts!" Grace clutched her forehead.
Evan Xiao handed her the jade pendant. "Put it on for me outside."
"I spent ten taels of Celestial Spirit Jade to buy this! It's mine now!"
"This is for men. Why are you keeping it?"
Grace flashed a smile. "I can put it on you, but then it's a token of my affection!"
"Who wants to be tied to you?" Evan Xiao dragged her out of the space.
Sure enough, Grace put the jade pendant on him.
While putting it on, her hand inevitably brushed his waist again.
Evan Xiao closed his eyes and tried to steady his breathing.
Lately, he didn't know what was going on; it was getting harder and harder to bear.
Even when he didn't see her, he always ended up thinking about her.
And when he did see her, he just couldn't handle it.
Out of sight, out of mind!
So these past few days, he'd been avoiding her.
"Mm, looks good on you!" After putting it on, Grace stepped back and admired him. "This is my token of affection for you, so don't lose it again!"
Evan Xiao: "I'm leaving now."
"Huh?" Grace raised her eyebrows at him. "What's the rush? You came all this way, at least chat for a bit before you go!"
"My self-control isn't that great!" declared the Crown Prince.
