Joe Di's Cultivation

12/19/2025

As the first thread of divine sense formed within Joe Di's Spiritual Sea, a vague outline naturally began to take shape there.

The moment true essence coalesced within his body, Joe Di's injuries rapidly healed. As his Spiritual Sea became clearer, his divine sense grew ever stronger.

"Roar!" The distant howls of dire beasts jolted Joe Di awake. Opening his eyes, he saw that Cassie Cao had already removed the floral necklace from her chest and was gripping his Bamboo Blade, nervously watching the shattered doorway.

"Senior Sister, what's wrong?" Joe Di hurried to Cassie Cao's side.

Seeing Joe Di awake, Cassie Cao excitedly grabbed his hand. "Were you cultivating just now?"

"Yes. A cultivation method appeared in my mind automatically. I think I can now be considered strong." At this moment, Joe Di was certain he had been cultivating, though his way was quite different from the legends.

"You sat like that for two days and nights. The dire beasts usually stayed far away, but when you didn't wake up for days, they seemed to sense no danger and started approaching us," Cassie Cao said anxiously.

Two days already? Joe Di was stunned, then his mouth dropped open in shock.

Cassie Cao clung to Joe Di's arm. "Ah Di, what's wrong?"

Joe Di took a deep breath before speaking, "Senior Sister, how can I see scenes several miles away, even through many obstacles?"

Joe Di was truly shocked. At this moment, he seemed able to perceive scenes miles away with ease. No, it wasn't just sensing—he could clearly see those distant places.

He saw several unicorn leopards, a pack of fang wolves, a pride of lions, and even two giant pythons heading this way.

Joe Di even felt an absurd sensation—as if he could easily take flight.

Following his instincts, he gathered his true essence and let his divine sense swirl around him. To his shock, Joe Di found his feet lifting off the ground.

"Ah Di, you..." Cassie Cao stared wide-eyed at Joe Di, completely stunned by his actions.

Landing back on the ground, Joe Di calmed himself. He reached out and embraced Cassie Cao. "Senior Sister, my thoughts weren't wrong after all. I've dreamed countless times of flying, of living beyond the vast starry expanse. Today, I've finally done it. I think it must be related to my cultivation. Senior Sister, let me teach you how to cultivate..."

Joe Di paused, realizing he didn't actually know how to teach Cassie Cao—he had only followed his own thoughts to cultivate, without any concrete method.

Cassie Cao also calmed down. She smiled gently. "Ah Di, I believe you. I've often felt the same way, but I..."

Ultimately, Cassie Cao didn't voice the strange things in her mind. It felt as though she had come here just for Joe Di.

"Senior Sister, this place is nice. I plan to stay here a while. I'll go out and drive away those fang wolves, then come back." Joe Di took the Bamboo Blade from Cassie Cao's hand.

Cassie Cao looked at Joe Di with gentle trust. She believed he could do it—perhaps even do it well. "Go ahead, I'll wait for you here. I'll live here with you for three years, and maybe after three years, we'll have a lovely child."

"Alright!" Joe Di laughed heartily. "Three years from now, we'll leave Tianhuang District. Let's see who dares to challenge me, Joe Di!"

With that, Joe Di patted Cassie Cao's back, grabbed the Bamboo Blade, and strode out of the wooden hut.

The first to pounce were two unicorn leopards. Without moving his body, Joe Di's Bamboo Blade swept up a blade ray. The leopards, still mid-leap, seemed to lose all force, dropping from the air and landing in four pieces on the ground.

The fang wolves behind were clearly more cunning than the leopards. Seeing Joe Di kill two leopards with a single strike—without even moving—they instinctively halted. One wolf finally recognized Joe Di, let out a howl, and turned to flee. The others followed suit, escaping with him.

When Joe Di extended his spiritual sense, the remaining lions, pythons, and other dire beasts quickly retreated.

Joe Di did not pursue them. To him, these dire beasts were at his mercy—there was no point in chasing them.

Now, his most important task was to organize all the thoughts in his mind and, hopefully, understand why he was different from others.

Glancing back at the distant wooden hut, the murderous intent in Joe Di's eyes softened. He quickly walked back.
