Snatching People

"You don't even need to differentiate the star attributes? How can you possibly absorb fifteen stars in one go!"

Kade Xing still couldn't wrap his head around it—those are stars, not candy beans!

"Want to let me try again? Or you could hand over ten stars?"

"Hmph! I don't buy it!" Trenton Zhan curled his lip and, with a wave of his hand, brought out ten meteors he'd just captured from the outer star region.

These ten meteors weren't all that powerful, but together they covered six different attributes.

"Oh? You're really willing to give them to me? Well, don't regret it later!"

Everyone watched Evan Chu in silence. Sure, your talent and potential are off the charts, your power is freakish—we admit all that. But even monsters have their limits, right? Stars aren't that easy to refine! And not needing to match attributes? That's just nonsense! We've all been through that realm ourselves.

But Evan Chu just laughed happily. He'd already burned through all fifteen chances before—he hadn't even absorbed any stars for himself yet. Who would've thought someone would give him ten more now?

They might not be that strong, but once Evan absorbed them, he'd be able to skip a chunk of the cultivation grind and shoot straight up to late peak Saint Realm.

So, right in front of everyone, he split into six elemental avatars—water, fire, light, darkness, wind, and lightning—matching the six attributes among the ten stars, and started refining them on the spot!

Inside the Chaos World, the Big Dipper constellation responded, pouring powerful stellar energy into Evan’s true body. Unnoticed by anyone outside, his six elemental avatars smoothly began fusing with the stars.

“This...”

“Your avatars can actually pull off moves this heaven-defying?!”

“If I remember right, you have nine avatars, each with a complete elemental attribute, don’t you?”

“So that’s how you can absorb stars without worrying about attribute conflicts?”

The four Hall Masters were stunned. Such heaven-defying methods left them not only shocked, but also deeply jealous! They were all Saint Emperor-level powerhouses who had fought in the outer realms and obtained many powerful stars, but in the end, attribute conflicts kept them from absorbing most of them. All they could do was hand the stars over to the Frostbane Dynasty’s Star Pavilion.

But Evan Chu didn’t have this problem at all!

“Oh, I forgot to mention—when I fight with these avatars, they’re not just techniques. They’re real entities, each one is actually me. In the future, if my main body ever falls, as long as one avatar escapes, I’ll have a chance to come back!”

Evan’s words shook them even more. Heaven-defying, monstrous—those words were no longer enough to describe him. In their hearts, he was simply an unfathomable freak.

With the trial finally concluded, the other three-gate trials ended as well. Violet Thunder, unsurprisingly, was the first elite seed to emerge. According to Lord Jun Yang, his performance was dazzling, earning him five hundred supreme-grade Starstones and the right to refine another thunder-attribute star.

Besides that, Evan was really surprised by one person—Black Haze, the guy who’d challenged him before.

Black Haze’s talent wasn’t on par with Violet Thunder’s, and among the hundred-plus participants, he was near the bottom. But his reckless, death-defying spirit won over a lot of people—even Violet Thunder admired him.

In the end, Black Haze became the second elite seed and officially joined the Frostbane Dynasty.

Thirteen people were forcibly transmitted out mid-trial, declared failures; thirty-three exceeded the time limit and barely scraped by; the rest were left in the star-boat trial space forever—announced as permanently vanished.

That day, Evan didn’t return to the recovery city with Violet Thunder, but was personally escorted by the four Hall Masters straight to the Frostbane Dynasty’s imperial capital.

The palaces of the four Hall Masters and the Seven Thrones were all in the heart of the capital. Evan’s destination right now? Mad-Blade Li’s estate.

Mad-Blade Li had promised to compensate Evan for injuring him—he could pick any weapon from the palace treasury as an apology.

“Haha! Old Mad-Blade, you really brought this punishment on yourself. So, how’s that reward from the Punishment Hall—feeling good?” Mystic Ice couldn’t help teasing as soon as he saw Mad-Blade Li, with Lord Jun Yang lounging nearby, ready to chime in.

“Just you wait! Once I break through to Holy Emperor Realm, we’ll see who’s laughing then!”

“Sure! I’m waiting. If you don’t like it, come fight me!”

Mystic Ice talked tough, but inside he felt uneasy. Lord Jun Yang’s reputation as a genius was no joke. Even though Mystic Ice was a realm higher right now, Jun Yang’s crazy, death-seeking fighting style was a nightmare to deal with. Even if he managed to win, there was no way he’d get much advantage.

If Jun Yang ever broke through to Holy Emperor Realm, Mystic Ice knew he’d be in real trouble...

“Enough already! You three have way too much free time, huh? If you’re so bored, I’ll pick a space in the dynasty and run a joint drill with all three legions!” Nightdream Ye’s voice cut in, instantly shutting the men up.

The moment Nightdream Ye spoke, the three guys fell silent.

Don’t be fooled by Nightdream Ye being a woman—her cultivation was second only to the Holy Emperor, and her battle power was terrifying. She was the undisputed number one among the four Hall Masters!

“Listen up, we’re getting down to business now. Mad-Blade Li, open your treasury and let Evan pick out a suitable weapon. Once he’s armed, it’s time for him to enter battle mode and earn merit for the dynasty. Only fighting brings the fastest resources and the quickest improvement—he knows that as well as anyone.

Once we’re done here, I’m taking him with me.”

“What?! Hall Master, Evan’s a member of my Mad-Blade Legion! Why are you taking him away?” Mad-Blade Li protested loudly.

“Bullshit! He’s obviously a member of my Blazing-Flame Legion. Mad-Blade Li, did you eat too much crap and forget? You’ve been in seclusion this whole time, so I was the one handling the newcomer reception!” Lord Jun Yang cursed back.

“Both of you, shut up! Look at you two—if Evan ends up in your hands, he’ll definitely learn all the wrong things! He’s safer with me.” Nightdream Ye snapped.

Nightdream Ye put on an icy, arrogant face, and both Lord Jun Yang and Mad-Blade Li instantly shut up. Her strength and status spoke for themselves.

But Trenton Zhan and Magnus Liao couldn’t hold back. “Come on, Ye—Evan’s clearly a battle-hungry guy. Wouldn’t he fit better with us? War God Hall is the perfect place for him!”

“No way! War God Hall is too chaotic, and the killing intent is off the charts. Asura Hall is where the elite experts gather—Evan should come to my side.” Magnus Liao argued.

Nightdream Ye’s face darkened. To be honest, both War God Hall and Asura Hall were perfect fits for Evan, while her own Shadow Hall focused on assassination and intelligence. Aside from her personal training, there wasn’t much opportunity for Evan to hone his skills there.

You couldn’t just send a genius like Evan off to be an assassin or undercover spy, right?

Nightdream Ye was left speechless and frustrated. She didn’t want to let go of such a promising seedling, but she knew Shadow Hall wasn’t the best fit. What should she do?
