So Shawn Young sat down cross-legged, focused his mind, and his consciousness spun and dove into his own mind. Soon, he arrived at the mouth of the Heavenly Sanctuary, where he found the transparent barrier still shimmering like rippling water. At once, Shawn channeled his Vital Qi, merging it with his intent. His mind quickly transformed into a golden, sword-shaped beam, and shot straight into the entrance of the Heavenly Sanctuary!
Whoosh— After spinning for a moment, Shawn felt himself enter the Heavenly Sanctuary, and was instantly stunned by the scene before him— The entire Heavenly Sanctuary was shrouded in a faint, fiery red glow and a cold, white mist, as if fire and ice were mingling. A winding, colossal river circled the realm, split into two halves. One half surged with massive, flame-like currents, roaring skyward, the turbulent water ablaze with leaping fire, brimming with a fierce, explosive aura!
The other half of the river was veiled in icy mist, split down the middle from the fiery side. Shards of frozen ice danced wildly across the river’s surface, swirling and howling, while a bone-chilling cold filled the mist. One side was layers of shimmering ice crystals, surging and flowing, while the other side was countless water-shaped flames, burning quietly.
“Uh— What on earth happened here?” Shawn stared at the unbelievable sight, utterly shocked.
Buzz— Buzz— Suddenly, a clear and powerful dragon’s roar echoed from the sky. Before Shawn’s eyes, the Red Dragon and the Thousand-Year Earth Dragon appeared. After not seeing them for a while, Shawn was surprised to find that the 'dragon couple' had changed quite a bit. The Red Dragon’s body was now at least twice as large as before, covered in palm-sized, fiery red scales that glimmered with a mystical light, and its demeanor was much more imposing.
The Thousand-Year Earth Dragon had also changed a lot. Its once smooth body was now covered in glossy, milky-white scales. As it twisted through the air, those scales shimmered with a faint white glow. It had also grown four clawed limbs, and most notably, its formerly oval head now sported two long, white dragon horns!
“Master! Finally, we get to see you! Have you been super busy lately?” The Red Dragon perked up as soon as it saw Shawn, asking excitedly.
“Uh— Not really! Why do you ask?” Shawn shot back.
“Oh, lately, waves of pure Yin Essence have been surging into the Heavenly Sanctuary, expanding our territory a ton! Especially this Frostfire River— we, the dragon couple, refined the Genesis Pill in the Ascendant Cauldron and ate it, and that’s how it was born! Hehe—” the Red Dragon said with a cheeky grin.
