A few Daoist followers staggered past Yisu, supporting each other as they went. When they caught sight of the furry fox ears atop Yisu’s head, not only did they refrain from attacking—instead, they bolted in terror, fleeing for their lives.
Staring blankly at those Daoists, terrified out of their wits, Yisu stepped over the blood and flesh strewn across the ground, advancing step by step into South Heaven Gate, and was met by a horrifying scene.
The Moon Tree blazed fiercely, bodies and flesh littered the ground, and blood dripped from nearly every floating stone. Every palace was shrouded in firelight, belching thick smoke as it slowly collapsed...
A charred Celestial Army banner lay quietly at her feet.
“This... this is...”
A breeze carried with it a thick stench of blood and waves of charred flesh.
“Did the Great Sage win? Alone... he, he defeated the entire Heavenly Court by himself?” Staring at the unbelievable sight before her, Yisu was utterly stunned.
Before she could recover, a figure flashed before her, raising a staff high overhead.
“Great Sage!” she screamed at once.
The staff halted in midair, not because of her scream, but because of her furry ears.
After a brief hesitation, the Monkey’s avatar slowly retreated, searching in another direction.
“What’s wrong with him?”
Looking around, Yisu realized that Monkey’s figures were everywhere.
“Are these avatars?”
Lifting her head, Yisu suddenly saw the Four Dragon Kings approaching, escorted by a host of shrimp soldiers and crab generals. Tina Drake was among them.
The moment the Dragon Palace retinue spotted Yisu, their reaction was one of shock—they all drew their weapons.
Never mind the Dragon Palace—after the demon monkey’s rampage, who in the Daoist sects wouldn’t fear monsters now?
“Tina! Tina! It’s me, Yisu!”
“Yisu?” Tina started forward, but Coral quickly grabbed her from behind.
“It’s fine—she’s a demon from Blossom Mountain. I know her.”
