Dream Spirit Sanctuary Forbidden Ground

"I have other matters to attend to, so this time you'll go without me. If I have time, maybe I'll come take a look, but don't worry about me." Lynn Ling said.

She still carried herself with great authority in the main hall, never once letting her status as Evan Chu’s woman make her blindly obey him. After all, she was still the acting Second Domain Lord of Dream Spirit Sanctuary, with a whole sect to manage.

Evan glanced at the others and said, "I know you still have things to discuss, so Luna and I will take our leave. The scenery here in Dream Spirit Sanctuary is pretty nice—I plan to look around a bit. Are there any forbidden grounds or places I should avoid? It'd be awkward if I accidentally wandered in and couldn't explain myself."

"You can look around anywhere nearby as you please. Dream Spirit Sanctuary has only one place outsiders absolutely cannot enter. Even our own disciples are forbidden from going in—not because there’s some rare treasure inside, but because it’s simply too dangerous. No one who’s entered has ever come out, which is why it’s strictly off-limits." Lynn Ling said.

Evan was slightly surprised, then asked, "There’s really a place like that? That’s pretty rare. Can you tell me where it is? I might want to check it out."

"No way. It’s far too dangerous—I won’t allow anyone to enter. Don’t even ask where it is; no one will tell you. Grandma doesn’t want anything to happen to you." Lynn Ling said.

Evan’s instincts told him that place was definitely unusual, and he always liked poking into places that weren’t ordinary. He’d already decided to sneak in and have a look—maybe he’d discover some unspeakable secret.

"Since that’s the case, we’ll just wander around nearby. In a couple days, we’ll head to Martial Spirit Dominion. You all still have things to discuss, so we won’t disturb you." Evan said, then took Luna’s hand and left the hall.

"Lin Feng, are you really planning to check out that place?" Luna asked Evan as they walked.

"That’s right. I feel like there’s something inside that I need to get—it’s a subconscious instinct. I don’t even know what it is, but the feeling’s strong. If I don’t check it out, I’ll feel miserable. You get what I mean? The problem is, finding out where it is won’t be easy." Evan said.

"What’s so hard about it? Someone here is bound to help you. Don’t forget, you’ve got three women cultivating in this sanctuary. I’m sure Serena will tell you—don’t think I didn’t see her rushing out of your room last night. I saw it all, you must’ve done something she couldn’t handle."

"Serena loves you too, but her nature is just naturally ice-cold. She’s always kept men at arm’s length, so agreeing to be your woman was really a last resort. I hope you won’t go too far before you marry her—she’s not like the others." Luna said.

Evan honestly didn’t know what to say—last night, Serena was the one who tempted him! The old ice-cold Serena had already melted away under his passion.

"Got it. You two stay here this time—let me go in and check it out first." Evan said.

Luna didn’t reply—she wasn’t about to let Evan go in alone. But for now, the important thing was to find out the exact location. Even if Evan refused to let her come, she could always sneak in after him.

The two of them went to Serena Frost’s room. Serena was sitting by the bed with her eyes closed, recovering her strength. Last night, she’d soaked in the bath for ages—Evan was just too much, nearly wore her out.

When Serena saw Evan and Luna come in, she blinked in surprise. "Luna, we’re finally meeting face-to-face. Wasn’t the last time in the Tri-Mystic Tower? Back then, we were both just souls. I can’t believe we’ve both got our bodies back now—it feels like a dream."

Luna sat down beside Serena, took her hand, and said, "Serena, it’s because we met the man we were destined for—he changed our lives. Now we’re truly sisters. Thinking about it, it really wasn’t easy."

The two women started chatting away, completely absorbed in their conversation, as if Evan didn’t even exist. Evan could only sit at the table, pour himself some tea, and drink slowly, feeling totally ignored.

After a long while, the two finally finished their talk. Evan smiled and asked, "Done chatting?"

"Not even close. We could talk for three days and nights and still not be done. We only stopped because you looked so pitiful. Did you come to see me about something?" Serena Frost asked.

"Is there a forbidden ground in Dream Spirit Sanctuary? Where is it? I want to take a look." Evan said.

"If it’s forbidden, then of course you can’t go. I know where it is, but I’m not telling you—so don’t bother asking." Serena Frost refused flatly.

Evan glanced at her and said, "Serena, I am your man. You really aren’t going to listen to me? Do you need me to teach you a lesson?"

"It’s incredibly dangerous. I’m only thinking of your safety. Lynn Ling said that when an Immortal Emperor entered the forbidden ground, they never came out. Several Immortal Lords disappeared there too. You absolutely can’t go." Serena Frost said.

"I know it’s dangerous, but I have to go. I feel like there’s something in there I need. You know I’m not like other people—sometimes my instincts are right. Besides, with my strength now, even a late-stage Immortal Emperor isn’t a match for me. There’s no one in the Immortal Realm who can threaten me. Don’t worry so much!" Evan said.

"Serena, you know Evan’s personality. Once he sets his mind on something, he’ll do it no matter how hard or dangerous. Don’t worry so much—I believe he’ll be fine." Luna said.

Evan shot Luna a grateful look. "If you really have to go in, fine—but you have to bring Luna and me with you. Otherwise, I won’t tell you where it is." Serena Frost said.

Evan hesitated. He didn’t really know how dangerous the forbidden ground was. If it was truly a place no one ever returned from, he’d be putting Serena and Luna at risk. But if he didn’t agree, he’d never learn the location. He was at a loss for words.

"Evan, I know you’re worried, but Serena and I aren’t weak. Plus, you have your Golden Body to protect us—and don’t forget about Shadow and Old Goldwing. With all of us together, even the most dangerous place can be conquered. Don’t overthink it." Luna said.

"In that case, I’ll notify Shadow and Old Goldwing. I just hope my instincts are right—otherwise, Lynn Ling will definitely blame me." Evan said after thinking it over.
