Elder Peach sat quietly in a corner alley, watching the bustling street filled with crowds of people and ghosts. Everything in this city seemed utterly unbelievable.
He didn't stay in the Blood Fiend Hall. When he wanted to leave, the ghosts didn't stop him. Zachary Justice and the others started a banquet and invited him to join, but Elder Peach declined.
It was unbelievable. Elder Peach smiled bitterly. Humans and ghosts had been mortal enemies since ancient times—humans who relied on ghosts, ghosts who relied on humans—there was never any trust. But tonight, everything he saw deeply shook his heart.
Zachary Justice was treated with respect by these evil ghosts, which should have been impossible. Even now, Elder Peach couldn't believe what he'd just witnessed.
Just then, someone passed by. Elder Peach looked up, and Master Zachary Wu saw him as well.
"Elder Peach, why are you here alone?"
Master Zachary Wu walked over and respectfully asked. Elder Peach smiled, shook his head, and waved him over. Master Zachary Wu sat down across from him.
Although Zachary Justice's two disciples each have their own style, they both show respect to their elders. The younger one, Zhang Anle, often complains about Elder Peach, but he still adds a respectful title.
"You all seem very familiar with this place, don't you?"
Elder Peach asked, and Master Zachary Wu nodded.
"This is the fourth time I've come here with Master. Basically, every year Master brings us over once."
"What about your junior apprentice?"
At this moment, Elder Peach glanced around but didn't see Zhang Anle's shadow. Zhang Wuju let out a helpless sigh.
"Anle loves coming here the most. Whenever we come, food and drink are all free, so every time he visits, he eats like his life depends on it, then leaves with bags stuffed full—like he's terrified of starving to death. Honestly, he really embarrasses Master."
Just then, a ghost, walking almost like a living person, drifted past.
"Wuju, why aren't you going to the banquet? Your master is raising a ruckus over there!"
Zhang Wuju shook his head.
"What's the fun in it? We can't even drink. The street's better."
The passing ghost smiled faintly and quickly disappeared. Elder Peach stared in mild bewilderment, eyes wide.
"Last two times we stayed here for a while, got to know some of the ghosts around here pretty well."
