One day later.
Henry and Jason Jensen finally lost their patience and decided to break into Ian Song's courtyard to seize him.
Still, they played it safe, leaving the third Upper Heavenly God outside as backup while the two brothers went in alone.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
With a flicker of shadows, the two Jensen brothers landed inside the courtyard.
Just then, the door opened and Ian Song walked out, smiling at the pair. "Gentlemen, we meet again!"
"Yeah, we meet again! Too bad you don't have those two traitors backing you up today!" Jason Jensen sneered.
"So, are you here to arrest me?"
Ian asked again.
"Playing dumb, are we? Ian Song, you might as well surrender now—spare yourself some pain!"
Henry Jensen smiled, but there was a hint of caution in his eyes.
"Do you really think that's possible?"
"Hmph!"
With a cold snort, Jason Jensen attacked first, reaching out with his palm toward Ian Song.
His palm move crashed down like thunder—Jason specialized in thunder law.
But Ian had no intention of meeting him head-on.
He shot the brothers a strange grin, and a grand formation erupted upward. In an instant, the courtyard transformed into a different world, and Jason's attack hit nothing but air.
At the same time, both brothers were shocked to find that the array powerfully suppressed their divine sense—it couldn't even leave their bodies.
"This array isn't simple. We have to break it quickly!"
Henry and Jason had the same thought. Not daring to hold anything back, they each drew their divine weapons and unleashed their strongest attacks against the formation.
"Boom! Boom!"
The formation shook, nearly collapsing.
Upper Heavenly Gods really can't be underestimated!
Ian Song just smiled, showing no sign of panic. In the next instant, eleven identical avatars flew out from his body and landed at key points in the formation to reinforce it.
With the eleven avatars reinforcing it, the once-shaky formation instantly stabilized. No matter how the brothers attacked, they couldn't budge it an inch.
"Excellent!"
Ian Song grinned in satisfaction. With this formation, he could trap at least four Upper Heavenly Gods at once. The next moment, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes and he strode over to Jason Jensen.
"You little brat! You dare show yourself? Die!"
As soon as he saw Ian, Jason thrust his spear at him.
Jason moved fast, and the spear radiated powerful thunder law.
A black longsword appeared in Ian Song's hand, a divine sword forged from a weapon found in the Life Ancient Land, its power immense.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The two figures clashed in midair, exchanging blows dozens of times, ending in a draw. Jason was shocked, but in the next moment, a vicious glint flashed in his eyes.
Die!
With a cold shout, black flames suddenly erupted around Ian Song, making his soul throb with pain, while Jason thrust his spear at him again.
These flames could burn the soul, but could they withstand refinement by the Chaos Whirlpool?
Ian remained calm, opened his mouth, and directly inhaled the black flames, leaving Jason utterly stunned and even halting his attack. "You actually dared to swallow my Hell Blackfire? You're courting death!"
Is that so?
Ian smiled indifferently, his internal Chaos Whirlpool spinning as the Hell Blackfire was rapidly refined.
In the next moment, he swung his sword at Jason Jensen.
"He really is fine!"
Jason stared in disbelief, swinging his spear to block Ian Song, then released Hell Blackfire again, shrouding Ian in dark flames.
"I... inhale!"
Ian opened his mouth and once again sucked all the black flames into his body.
Seeing this, Jason finally accepted that his Hell Blackfire couldn't hurt Ian Song at all.
"Again!"
With a shout, Jason's aura exploded and kept climbing. Centered on his body, a sea of lightning spread out for ten li.
Jason, now standing in the thunder sea, was clad in a cyan armor that covered him entirely, mysterious and imposing.
Looking at the thunder sea, Ian Song could sense terrifying law power within. Any ordinary Heavenly God stepping inside would be blasted to dust by the god-thunder.
But Ian showed no fear, striding into the thunder sea and heading straight for Jason.
Boom! Boom!
Countless bolts of lightning crashed down on Ian Song from above the thunder sea.
Dozens of god-thunders slammed into Ian, making his hair stand on end, but he was secretly delighted. He refined the thunder into pure law, sending it into his Divine Domain to be absorbed by his godhead.
Just those dozens of god-thunders were worth several days of his normal training.
"Your god-thunder isn't all that impressive!"
Ian stood his ground, looking at Jason with open provocation.
"Hmph! Stubborn to the end!"
Jason snorted coldly. He didn't believe Ian was unharmed. With a thought, hundreds of god-thunders crashed down again, striking Ian.
"Again! Not enough!"
Ian shouted.
Jason's face turned dark, and hundreds more god-thunders crashed down, completely submerging Ian Song's body.
After a while, Ian emerged again. Aside from his hair now looking like an explosion and his face a bit darker, he was completely unharmed.
"Impossible! You may have trained thunder law too, but you're just a Lower Heavenly God. There's no way you can withstand my god-thunder!"
"Why don't you try again?"
Ian looked at him expectantly. Three rounds of god-thunder strikes were worth at least a month's training.
"I don't believe it! Hit him again!"
Jason roared, and nine thunder pillars crashed down, all hitting Ian Song. Ian was knocked flat, smoke rising from his body, but he was secretly thrilled—those nine pillars were worth a year's training.
He slowly got up and mocked, "Is that all you've got?"
"Courting death!"
Jason flew into a rage, controlling god-thunder to bombard Ian while attacking with his spear, mercilessly stabbing at Ian from all sides.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The battle between the two was fierce, lasting a full day and night.
But that was only formation time. Using the time-domain avatar's trait, ten days passed inside the formation while just one hour passed outside. If the God Realm's laws weren't so strong, the ratio could've reached a thousand to one.
During the fight, Ian was struck by thunder hundreds of times. Not only was he unharmed, he grew stronger with each hit. Jason eventually realized what was happening and dispelled the thunder sea, feeling incredibly frustrated.
Seeing this, Ian's eyes flashed with disappointment as a black axe appeared in his hand.
Pangu Axe, First Form—Open the Heavens!
Boom!
The attack landed without warning, radiating a primordial, awe-inspiring aura. For a moment, Jason was frozen in place by sheer pressure.
Slash!
Jason was split cleanly in half, even his Divine Soul destroyed.
"Damn! The Pangu Axe is this powerful!"
Ian was a bit shocked, but more than that, he was thrilled. He rarely used the Pangu Axe's chaos martial art, so he hadn't expected it to kill an Upper Heavenly God in one move.
