Can You Practice Insight Technique While Sleepwalking and the Queen Arrives
The Hunter Academy—a place coveted by all of humanity, basically a holy site these days. It’s on a tiny, super-secret island in the Gulf of Mexico. Even though tech in this near-future world is way ahead of Earth, probably thanks to years of fighting giant monsters, Mecha Hunters keep getting more sci-fi, but aviation tech? Eh, not so much.
So getting from Hong Kong to the Gulf of Mexico? Takes a while. A single helicopter’s not gonna cut it.
Including the Pearl River Delta folks, there were over forty backup pilots. Even though Jill Young’s squad was big, mixing with so many regions made them blend right in.
Jill Young checked out the candidates—some looked green, some mature, some shy, some tough, some with their noses practically on top of their heads. All kinds. The ones getting the most attention, besides Jill Young and Blockhead, were of course Jasper Xiao, a top-tier candidate, and the Gao Twins. These twins were picked from the Bohai Rim, probably just fourteen or fifteen, one with a left ponytail, one with a right ponytail—identical and ridiculously cute.
"Those are the Gao Twins—Gao Tingting and Gao Jingjing—definitely future stars. Each only scored in the seventies, but their compatibility should be super high, maybe even over eighty-five. Once they grow up, they’ll be real heavy hitters." Jacob, the team leader, looked over with envy and whispered to Jill Young, "Word is, those two have some kind of psychic connection!"—No idea when it started, but this old guy had gotten used to chatting with Jill Young.
"Oh? That amazing?" Jill Young squinted, grinning mischievously. "I trained a pair of twin fox spirits before, and trust me, I checked—they definitely didn’t have that ‘call one, both come running’ thing. These two are really that good?"
"Uh..." Jacob was a little embarrassed by Jill Young’s anything-goes attitude, then shrugged. "I dunno, why don’t you check it out yourself?"
"Sure thing." With that, Jill Young headed over.
"Hey?! I was just kidding, what are you doing?" Jacob suddenly felt a bad omen. "Those two are super sensitive and super cautious—don’t stir up trouble!"
"Relax, relax!" Jill Young waved him off and kept walking.
