Wayne Gale, as the Right Lieutenant of the Feather-Guard Corps, led the Right Feather-Guard Corps to Home's End Abyss. Together with the Left Feather-Guard Corps, they defeated Drakebar Dragon Kingdom, captured Lord Drakebar, and forced the kingdom to surrender.
Her Majesty the Empress recovered considerably from her wounds and planned to return to Heaven once she was fully healed.
But that very night, disaster struck: the deep currents of Home's End Abyss erupted, plunging everything into pitch darkness—no stars could be seen anywhere.
Strange phenomena swept the abyss; the gods trembled in fear, spending a sleepless and uneasy night.
When the dark currents stopped at dawn, the soldiers found Her Majesty the Empress's corpse in a side palace on Fangjar Isle. All her maids were dead, and the Left Lieutenant of the Feather-Guard Corps had also perished outside the palace.
Wayne Gale brought in the eight dragon kings of Drakebar Dragon Kingdom, laid the Empress to rest in a coffin, and ordered the eight dragon kings to stand guard over it. He also commanded the soldiers to investigate what happened that night and uncover the cause of the Empress’s death.
